Greetings! It has been a while since I have sent out a newsletter but it has been a busy time. I have completed my newest book, another on the folklore and mythology of sacred water called "Water of Life--Water of Death: The Folklore and Mythology of Sacred Water". I visited many of the places I wrote of and many new photos will appear in the book as a result. I am awaiting word from the publisher as to whether or not it will be accepted.

I have started another book recently--this time not involved with water! Tentatively titled "The Dark Wind: Witchcraft in Native American Traditions" the subject matter is self explanatory. There is a considerable amount of information, much of it biased, about witchcraft for various tribes and regions but this work will be an appraisal of a larger scale. Don't look for this one soon however!

Recently my first book, "Essays in Contemporary Paganism" has been reviewed by the Pagan Review of Books and the Book Review Cafe'" and "Sacred Wells" was reviewed by the British Druid site, the Druid Network. Look for a review of Sacred Wells from the Bath University e-journal, Living Springs Journal, in the Fall. All of the reviews can be read at my Authors Den site, www.authorsden.com/garyrvarner.

I have been notified that Sacred Wells has been used as a reference work in workshops lately on the sacredness of water and Essays has also been used as a teaching aid. I am very pleased that the books have received such treatment.
