Greetings and welcome to the new subscribers! Last month saw the release of my new book on the folklore and mythology of sacred stones called "Menhirs, Dolmen and Circle of Stone: The Folklore and Mythology of Sacred Stone". Published by the academic press Algora Publishers in New York, the book is available in trade paperback and will also be released in hardback this month. It is available through all online retailers as well as from your local bookshop.

Also available to be pre-ordered this month is my companion book to my 2002 work, "Sacred Wells: A Study in the History, Meaning and Mythology of Holy Wells & Waters". Titled "Water of Life--Water of Death: The Folklore and Mythology of Sacred Water" it is available from Publish America at $16.95 which is a $3 discount for those wishing to pre-order. It will be available everywhere in January 2005. The foreword to "Water of Life-Water of Death" was written by British holy well researcher Richard Pederick who is the editor of Living Spring Journal--the research periodical for holy well enthusiasts.

For those of you in the Oregon area I will be at the 2nd annual Southern Oregon Book & Author Fair on Saturday, November 20th along with 60 other authors. This event is free to the public and will be held from 10-4 at the Southern Oregon University in Ashland in the Rogue River Room located in the Stevens Union Building. It should be an interesting day!
