Hello,
I'm very busy raising an eight year old grandson who has cerebral palsy and is blind in one eye.
I'm editing several novels and have completed two illustrated poetry books. Currently I'm looking for interested publishers.
Would love to keep in touch with everyone who enjoys my poetry but there is never enough time. If you'd like updates on what's going on, you'll find it here.
Love,
Sandy

Doogie now has a pair of reading glasses and is doing much better in school.
On the other hand, my contacts were wrong (again) and I'm still waiting for the right ones.
Al's oldest grandchild, Carey, 21, will be getting married in Utah on April 26th so we've been shopping for clothes. Doesn't anyone sell dresses anymore? Not in Prineville it seems. I'm still looking for something that doesn't make me look like an old hag or a teeny bopper :)!
My daughter, Sherry, 31, should be having surgery today (in Ohio) to close her uterus so she won't lose the baby. She's thirteen weeks alone. So instead of worrying, I'm trying to keep busy :)!
Sometimes life is a jungle. Why not pretend along with me?
Leather-skinned Momma by WHO ELSE? ME!
Fat, fiftish, a leather-skinned momma
sporting wide-girth hips that should slow me down,
heed my warning, you better get running
before I throw my banana peels down.
it’s a slick situation,
slippery anticipation,
filled with pride. I’m a big, furry momma
with an itch to scratch, dangling from green trees.
I’ve wisps of hair like a coconut husk
but with the humor of a thousand clowns.
There’s sincere fascination
when there’s gross aggravation.
Fat, fiftish, a leather-skinned momma
sporting wide-girth hips that should slow me down,
heed my warning, you better get running
before I throw my banana peels down.
Slip, take a spill, on a peel.
You’ll get a kick out of me!
Keep in touch and take care.
Love,
Sandy
