Hi,
Just taking a moment to let you all know that we made it home safely back to Oregon after camping in Utah for a week. We really enjoyed seeing and spending time with all of Al's kids, grandkids and great-grandson, Keatin, 1. Another great grand is due in September and another grandchild in Feb. 2004.
Have loads of laundry and so little time.
While we were gone, Al's younger brother, Simon, 60, called repeatedly apparently trying to find us home. He has no money and is hungry so borrowed enough to come stay with us for a while (just called a while ago and is already enroute). He also has no clean clothes so I'm trying to get all of our clothes washed before Simon arrives. He always leaves the washing machine BLACK! He hasn't worked since 1987 and moves around between family members when he's really down and out.
Simon 'squishes' everything in the middle (guest) bedroom (puts his heavy bags on top of my dolls, flower arrangements, etc.) so I have to get in there and put them all away. He must be planning to stay for a while as there's nothing for him to go home to. What a bummer for us! We can't go anywhere without him until he leaves . . . usually he stays for at least two weeks and then Doogie will be getting ready for camp.
In our mail today was a surprise! I've been nominated for 'Who's Who Among American Women'! They just want my biography. There's no charge, of course. I would be listed as a published poet and artist!
