My computer has been acting up since we changed servers. Although my new email is: sillysal@bigvalley.net not a lot of mail is coming in.
Beginning with a 'worm' last week-end, my computer has been 'cleaned-out' and reloaded at least five times.
We bought TWO different virus programs, put up a firewall, etc. Still, half the time my computer says the keyboard is not connected, the modem isn't working, etc. So~we're looking at a new computer. However Al doesn't like integrated systems and is constantly 'tinkering' with 'upgrades' so don't know when or which system we'll wind up with.
With this in mind, I apologize for not responding to all of your kind messages. Some get through, others don't. If your mail bounces back to you, it's not me doing it but, rather, my ailing 550 computer :)!
My address book is inaccurate--the 'old' January 2003 one. Somehow my computer won't email anyone NOT in my address book so I had them, the computer croaks again, and I do it all over. Please be patient with me as we perform ... again ... CPR on my machine :)!
We are all well. Doogie is growing like a weed--nine and wearing a 14! He also is 'reading' to me in Braille ... which is super. He's anxious to learn to play the keyboard and cook! (I am extremely cautious in the kitchen--he isn't allowed to use a knife solo; I hold his hands to manuver the food and the knife.)
Hopefully my computer problems will be over soon. If not, I want to take time to wish all of you the best of everything :) ... always. May every day be a Thanksgiving with a bounty of whatever we each need.
