It's been a while. Sorry :)!
At a writer's meeting the other day someone said they felt they lived to write ... I sometimes think, for me, it's the other way around. Writing reminds me of things that I'd otherwise forget; things that are so dear to me that I can't wait to share them with everyone I know :)!
My first husband, Dan, lost the oldest of his sisters, Linda, January 3rd. She was sweet, a really honest and loving gal. It was an honor knowing her.
Between losing my sister, Helen, and so many others we knew and loved, I can't help but wonder if 'time' will permit all of us to write, to say, all that we dare to share with one another.
There's so many ideas floating around my head that I'm going to take a few days to write more things down ... which is basicly what I've been doing anyway.
Frequently folks ask how often I write :)... well, two years ago I promised my sister, Helen, that I'd do two things (draw two pictures, draw a picture with a poem, or write two poems, two stories, finish and dress a doll, etc.) just for myself everyday. Helen was also to do two things just for herself. I kept a diary to send to her as proof of keeping my word but Helen, often not feeling well, fell off the 'wagon'. This year I've been trying to do two for me and one for Helen ...
The pressure in Doogie's right eye is 'up'--we're having to 'watch' it again.
We've welcomed a new grandson January 16th ... our 18th! My daughter is pregnant again--for the 10th time--though Doogie is the only one of those who survived.
So~if I don't post for a while, don't worry. I'll make it up later. I do not go anywhere without paper and pen :) . . . just in case I get an inspiration.
