Thinking of all of my friends, hoping all is well with each and every one of you.

In mid - June my only remaining child, my daughter, Sherry, told us that she was pregnant (17th time) and we cancelled EVERYTHING, began taking care of her two year old daughter, Mariah, in hopes that she would have a healthy third child. (Doogie, whom we're raising, is the oldest of the two who have survived.)

Her water broke (at 15 weeks) on Monday (Aug. 25th) and when they went to do a D&C, they found Sherry was hemorrhaging internally. Had they NOT done the D&C the doctor said she and the baby would have been dead in a week! She was bleeding to death! Again, we kept Mariah.

Dan Turner, my ex, died on Labor Day in a hospital in Knoxville, TN. and was to be buried on Sept. 4th. Fortunately, they delayed the burial one day in hopes Sherry would go out there but the doctor said travel was NOT advised as she nearly died on Weds. Aug. 27th.

Then, my son - in - law, Sergio went to the hospital on my birthday - - acute alcoholic poisoning, his level was 8 times the legal amount in Oregon, a LETHAL amount. He told Sherry to give me his 'dead body' for my birthday! (Sherry told Sergio I KNEW he raped her Saturday Aug. 23rd and that "I" believe it was what caused the hemorrhaging that cost the baby its' life and nearly killed Sherry. She'd said "It's the fourth time - - all those other babies too!" I said, "He should be sterilized." Instead, he tried to kill himself!

I'm having surgery Friday, Sept. 12, and will spend several days recuperating prior to beginning the next book. I'm 'at - risk' for colon cancer and my dad died of cancer of the abdomen so they will actually do two biopsies - - one via a scope down my throat to check out my abdomen and another of the colon. They removed multiple polyps last year (Sept. 15) and I will continue having a colonoscopy yearly until there are no polyps. (My mother took an experimental drug while pregnant with me ... resulting in non - malignant tumors developing everywhere; been having surgery to remove them since 1995.)

Stress is a BIG problem for me - - it causes the number of tumors to multiply and, apparently, encourages their growth.

Unfortunately, despite all her problems, Sherry deliberately BROKE the rules and may already be pregnant again. We'll know in 5 weeks ... Dang!

This is extremely personal and, since I've made my peace with God, I put myself in His hands. His will is my will ... always.
