Come on in and put your feet up. I'll throw another log on the fire and we can discuss what's important. Things like fishing, duck hunting, making maple syrup and family will be gone over.
Stop in once in a while and I'll give you something fresh and new to make your day a bit brighter.

Newsletter Dated: 4/1/2004 7:15:22 AMSubject: Spring Sprung The robins are back and the geese can be heard on the river each morning. I would guess that spring has arrived, but I've been fooled before. This time of year can bring nearly any kind of weather you can spell. On the south side of the house, a sprig of green is poking its head up, searching for sunshine. The snow is only about a foot deep back by the barn but that area always seems to be the last to melt. Work on the latest book is progressing at a frantic pace. "Brothers by Fire" has me awakening in the middle of the night with new ideas and characters. This one seems to be going in directions I hadn't planned. The pile of inevitable rejection letters is growing at a fast pace. I am attempting to take "Waltz with a White Horse" to a different publisher. I guess I just don't want all my eggs in the same basket. Today I checked in to our authors message board to find that a good friend and family man had been in a bad car accident in Michigan. He died on the operating table. He was a professional guitarist and an avid writer. He left behind a loving wife and a two year old daughter. At the end of the notice it said "April Fools". I do believe that the sick writer of this has a special punishment awaiting them, but if I run into him first ...... Oh ya! Does anyone still go from door to door passing out May Baskets? What ever happened to the fun stuff? Well, back to the coffee pot. Think green. From the land of tall pines and tall tales, Best Regards, Ron
