THE SANTA LOUISE KID – MURDER – SCREEN PLAY

FADE IN:
EXT. MONTSEGUR, FRANCE – DAY (1244)
A bond fire is burning at the foot of the mountain town. The SCREAMS of the men, women, and children being thrown into the fire by FRENCH SOLDIERS can be heard over the ROAR of the burning infernal. More citizens are being herded down the path from the town by French soldiers. Ten CATHOLIC PRIESTS are standing to the side of the fire and seven KNIGHTS watch from horseback.
MOTHER ISOBEL DEMOLAY, a beautiful witch, 31 witch years old, 240 human years old, wavy platinum blond hair, blue eyes, tanned, five foot eight inches tall, 110 pounds, dressed in the traditional tunic of 13th century France, a knee-length garment with sleeves, round neck, held together by a belt.
MOTHER ISOBEL was standing on a null 300 hundred yards away from the fire. She had tears running down her cheeks. She whispers.
MOTHER ISABEL
Tomas.
ISABEL disappears from the null.
INT. ENGLISH CASTLE – DAY
ISABEL appears next to TOMAS DEMOLAY. TOMAS DEMOLAY, a warlock, 26 witch years old, 140 human years old, six-foot four inches tall, 200 pounds, muscular, black hair, green eyes, dressed in the traditional dress of a thirteenth century warrior.
ISABEL
I thought you were fighting in the Holy Lands.
TOMAS looks around the hall hoping no one saw ISABEL pop in next to him.
TOMAS
No, I joined the nobles here hoping to over through KING HENRY the Third. I
don’t have anything against Henry, it’s just something to do. What are you doing
here?
ISABEL has dried tears on her cheeks.
ISABEL
TOMAS, the FRENCH KING and the POPE are killing and burning our Cather
Neighbors and anyone who supports them. They want their land and eventually
ours. What are we going to do?
TOMAS put his hands behind his back, looked up in the air, took a deep breath, then looked directly into ISABEL’S eyes.
TOMAS
The family is going to have to leave Languedoc and our winery.
ISABEL’S tears started to fall again.
ISABEL
I know, you and I could stay and fight, but many of our family members never
used their powers and would die or worse. Where would we go?
EXT. WESTERN SIDE OF THE ATLANTIC – DAY (July 25,1249)
Three TEMPLER ships lay anchor in Amboy cove. DEMOLAY family members were popping on the shore from the ship. Each family member had an item in their hand as they popped to shore. The last two to leave the ship was ISABEL and TOMAS.
ISABEL popped to the shore, went down on her knees, grabbed two hands full of sand, held her hands in the air, and loudly proclaimed.
ISABEL
The most powerful warlock will be born 700 years from this date!
