Nothing I can say here will be as interesting as my books. I have lived virtually everything described in them, except for the spirit rituals in Brazil. Those are kind of hairy, and while my husband and I lived there we never once considered attending one session. They are usually set in dangerous locations and perilous to blatant newcomers. I researched those rituals in Portuguese. Although I know a lot of spells to cast, I haven't dared use any of them to persuade an editor to buy.

The staff were impressed and asked me to return on October 10, 7:30, to present The Year of the Rat. TYofR is a war/historical novel of the Chinese Communist takeover of Shanghai and the events that take place which will change the face of Asia forever.
I was there when Mao Tse-tung's army marched in. And my family stayed on so long there that eventually I was rounded up for interrogation by the secret police. The fact that I was 18 did nothing to alter the absurdity of this charge, espionage for the U.S. government!
I am a good speaker, tell stories well, and entertain the audience. If any of you have read The Snake Woman of Ipanema, a hair-raising tale of the occult in Brazil, where I lived 15 years, you will have been very well entertained. The tales of the occult are true, you know.
