My second book, entitled Ker-SPLASH! Recreational Power Boaters Guide will be released early in 2002, hopefully before April 1, 2002. The book will be a 6 x 9 trade paperback published by iUniverse just like PLASTIC OZONE DAYDREAM. Ker-SPLASH! is a nonfiction reference guide to the hobby and sport of recreational boating and water skiing. It is intended as a guide for the neophyte or the experienced boater. The book does not cover the the infinite details of selecting a used boat in good condition or the maintenance of a boat. What the does do is to list every major brand of boat builder. The contact addresses, corporate histories and marketing niche information are provided for every brand. All the major brands of skis, wakeboards, and accessories are also included. The book includes several humorous boating stories to enlighten and entertain the reader, too. Detailed instructions for teaching a novice to ski, learning to ski yourself, learning to slalom, and learning to drive the boat correctly while towing are all included in Ker-SPLASH! The author's opinions are given on most every facet of the sport. No corporate sponsorship has tinted these opinions in any way. This book offers a boatload of up-to-date information about the water skiing hobby in a down-to-earth tone and a sense of humor.
