I've also got another FREE e-book for you. I've decided to clean out my Creators Bookshelf and want to provide you with great offerings in the weeks and months ahead. I've personally read each of the books and reports I send you in my newsletter. So I know the value of each.

Creative Pop: Laughter & Creativity
The sound of laughter shocks people out of automatic pilot so they can become fully *aware*. Humor is often the starting point that tells us it is OK to imagine fun, wierd, strange thoughts---exactly what you need to trigger an association or idea that breaks down a creative block.
As Dr. Joel Goodman, director of the Humor Project, an organization based in Saratoga Springs, New York, which produces a major national conference on humor, puts it: "Comedy can turn ha-ha into aha."
Here are 8 things you can do this week to integrate humor into your creative work:
1. Start a collection of your favorite cartoons from the comic section or from magazines like 'The New Yorker' or 'Going Bonkers!'. Keep them in a file, and when you're stuck for an idea, pull out the file and browse through them. The neat thing is, you will have completely forgotten the chuckle they originally gave you as time passes---so it's universal humor will likely re-trigger a smile and you'll be off to the races.
2. Initiate a library of your favorite comedy recordings from comedians you enjoy both past and present. Slap one on and listen to take a break from tedious work and help get your brain going again. They are a great tension releaser too! I love the quirky style of George Carlin who always pushes me to see the world with new eyes.
3. Subscribe to a humor magazine or newsletter. The wacky perspective can often get you thinking in new directions. I like "The Onion" http://www.theonion.com
4. Go to a comedy club on a regular basis. Take a risk, go to an open mike and try out some of your original material. Why not? You might bomb, but that's funny in itself! Of course there is always The Comedy Channel offered by most cable tv outlets.
5. Start a humor database on your computer. Browse through it whenever you need to relax or feel stuck. Just don't put this newsletter in there---I write serious stuff in The Creative Pops Newsletter! (Oh, how humorous, Vic!)
6. Take an improvisational acting class. Improv gives you permission to be silly and helps you learn to think creatively on your feet. Most major cities have improv clubs that offer ongoing workshops to anyone interested. Don't be shy---most people in these classes are beginners just like you---so it's non-threatening.
7. Start a daily joke exchange on your office e-mail system. I have a co-worker that sends out at least one daily joke, funny picture, or devilish tid-bit. He's universally loved for it too. We get a smile a day with 'Ol David', I assure you.
8. Try a page-a-day calendar with humorous sayings or cartoons. As you rip off each day's page you're guaranteed to have at least one glimpse of humor during every 24 hours of your life.
Finally...when the going gets tough...laugh! Find something, anything, that might help you burst through creative blocks using laughter.

What's wrong with being a tiny bit vain? I desperately needed to shed ten pounds this summer. I hooked up with a wonderful lady named Nuria Weaver and she put me on her fantastic 10 Day Easy Diet. It worked! I lost 11 pounds in less than ten days, and feel a hundred pounds lighter. Best of all, I never went hungry and did it all using natural, everyday foods that magically complimented each other. Find out more about Nuria and her painless diet at:

Here's one testimonial that I liked:
My sister bought me a copy of your diet plan after a trip to Europe. Boy, am I happy she made that trip! It is the first diet that has really worked for me, now I can wear a bikini on the beach for the first time without wanting to curl up and die. Will always be grateful to you.

See---I wanted to look good in a bikini too! (More lame humor from Vic, he-he!)

The Creator Within Speaks:
"You are the one who holds the vision, be it clouded or clear. Use your conscious mind to bring forth what you hold dear. Whatever you are feeling is what you will be receiving, and what you are receiving is reflective of how you have been feeling. If you choose to see the positive in things, you will have more positive things to see. You're more of a mirror than you can imagine.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, I am the one who creates it all."
