Hello Again

And once more I come hat in hand, eyes downcast in shame for having been so lax in updating this site. Though it may be a weak excuse, the fact is that I have indeed been kept pretty busy.

The fifth book in the Dick Hardesty mystery series, The Good Cop, is at the printers and should be released by mid-November (just in time for Xmas--be sure to pick up 30 or 40 copies as gifts for your closest friends and two or three for yourself--it's always nice to have a spare copy lying around). This one is something of a departure from the others in that it is focused as much on Dick's attempts to head off open warfare between the police and the gay community as it is on solving the crime. I do hope you'll read it and let me know what you think.

The sixth book has just been submitted to the publisher. I'll tell you a little more about it next time, if you're interested. And right now, I'm working on the seventh.

Since I normally end with a poem from my Chapbook ("The Poems of Dorien Grey" available as a download from GLB Publishers in case you wondered), I thought I'd vary it a bit and instead of a regular poem, put in a couple haiku. Hope you like them.

Like shattered mirrors,
broken dreams can still reflect
images of hope.

Black clouds, like warships,
plow majestic through the sky,
cannon thundering

Elephants can fly:
the thought has simply never
come into their minds.
