Forgive this letter in its most causal of forms. As you may remember, I am on vacation. Still, I thought this was important enough to pass on to you. It was sent to me by publisher Glenda Ivey, Jada Press (http://jadapromotion.com). No I haven't taken the time to check it out (heck, I'm on a cruise ship!), but I trust Glenda and her source (The Southern Review). So here it is:
Scam artists in Nigeria have apparently gotten on to the idea that authors are a soft touch. They are sending notices that you have won or are being considered for a Pulitzer. Do not (repeat not) click through, pay any money or otherwise be fooled by this.
