These two are written by a young writer friend of mine. He would appreciate opinions and critiques (other than mine that is). Any and all comments welcome.
(1) Untitled Have you made a devil cry, Shameful of its deeds? Kneeling amidst your purity, A wickedness on its knees. Surrounded in your righteous light, This devil's darkness wavers. Now the tainted shroud dispersed, This devil's plight revealed. A beauty that has fallen from grace Now forever scorned. By Ricky Curry Copyright September 2002
(2) Untitled by Richard Curry
Have you seen The Manakin, The boy of sanded pine? Invigorated by creativeness, Given purpose by the needs of thine?
He seems to be alone on stage But I know thats not true. Can't you see the strings on him? The strings that make him move.
My eyes do see the strings on him, The bonds that set him free. The manacles of candidness, Forcing him to be.
