Publish America has contacted me about informing my local newspaper about my upcoming second book. I think that's great, but they didn't do that with the first book. Oh well. I'm not going to complain. I am just thrilled to be having my work published at long last. I have been writing stuff since I was a kid and it was always my dream to be a writer. In between I've had to be a teacher, a paper carrier, a vocational nurse, a caregiver, a nanny (and no, not like Fran Drescher in any way, shape, or form!) and I was a plain old babysitter.

I'm going to be working on some more activities for the next Encyclopedia for Gryphon House. They do one almost every year. The activities really help other teachers. And believe me, teachers need all the help they can get with these little darlin's. My mind was racing all the time to try and invent things to keep them busy. I'm proud of the stuff I have invented, especially the kiddie songs. Those are my proudest accomplishments where the teacher thing is concerned.
