Hi Everyone!

Wow! I am so happy that summer is finally here in Southern Ontario. I am just soaking in that sunshine, like it's the source of life itself! Yesterday, I got out into the garden and spent the day weeding, cleaning and moving plants around to make it more attractive. Needless to say, my butt is very sore today, but it was well worth all that work!

Well, no matter the weather, we can all enjoy a great paranormal tale and the one this month is about psychic David Groode. I met David through Ryze Business Networking, where many of my new and wonderful friends hang out. David recently went to Peru for another of his inspirational and awakening experiences. He's such a busy fellow and I've been trying to get a story from him for some time. I was hoping to get it, before my book went to the publisher. Sadly, that was not meant to be. But it's finally here, so enjoy!

Psychic Recalls Shocking Ways He Opened To Spirit

David Groode shifted in his chair. As a young high school student, he truly wanted to get his license, but the driver’s education film presented that day made him more than a little uneasy.
”The film we were watching depicted someone that was jump-starting their car through connecting the cables to another car,” said David.
As he watched intently, the person in the film lifted the hood of the car and immediately, something exploded.
This graphic depiction triggered a memory for David that he’d rather not have known about.
”When the person lifted the hood of the car in the film, it triggered me to have a little movie of my own, where I was going to check something underneath the hood of the car,” he said. I knew it was me in another life. It was not (the) me, who is in this life now. However, it was definitely (the) me of whoever I was then. I could psychically feel and see the whole memory and experience as though I was re-living it. When I lifted the hood of the car to check what was there, something exploded and I died. I viscerally felt the shock and impact of it while I was leaning back in my chair in the classroom. At that moment I was leaning so far back I almost fell off the chair that I was sitting on.
David said this dramatic moment was one of many that opened him to the realization that he was much more than just another body sitting in that classroom.
”The jolt of the whole experience shocked me on some inner level, which triggered another increment of awakening on some soul or conscious level.”
As a child, David had a vivid imagination and reveled in creating other worlds for his toys during playtime. And as he grew older, his imagination continued to grow. At 15, he spent a month in Hawaii with his aunt and uncle, who were very spiritually open individuals.
”They are both Tibetan Buddhist and Sufis. Both my aunt and my uncle had been to India and they were both into alternative healing. While I was there, it was as if something awakened that had been lying dormant within me. I was reading the Bhagavad-Gita in the form of comic books from India. I also met all of my aunt and uncle's friends who were spiritual too. After my conversations about past lives, spirituality and alternative healing, my whole being had been expanded from being there and my life could not completely fit back into it's three dimensional form when I returned home. In hindsight, I think the month in Hawaii opened my mind and prepared me for what was to come.”
As a high school student in Los Angeles, David had another dramatic spiritual experiences that shook him to his very core.
”I was in my Biology class and we were testing pulse rates, so we went running around the track four times. While we were running, I got myself into a meditative state without realizing it. My breathing became regulated with my running and the thought that kept repeating in my mind was - go, go, go, go, go! Shortly after testing our pulse rates, I felt light headed and kind of funny. We were walking back to class and I stopped.”
Suddenly, his spirit lifted right out of his body!
”I was looking at myself standing in the parking lot, other people walking to class and all of the cars parked in the lot from about three to four feet above me. I then thought to myself, ‘Wait a minute! What's happening here? I want to go camping next weekend with my family, come back!’ I then felt my spirit descend in a zigzag pattern back down into my body. Although I was profoundly altered from the experience, after I came back into my body I had a headache and upset stomach for about 2 to 3 hours.
At 19 years of age, David went to see a psychic for the first time and was stunned by what he heard.
”His name is Bryan Christopher. There was no way he could of been mind reading me about my past life memory during my driver’s education class, because I was not thinking about it when I went to see him for a reading. The reading that I had with him was deep and profound. There were two things that were said that really stood out. The first was that I had a past life in Germany and that I went to go check something under the hood of a car and something exploded and I died. He went onto say that I had to be careful of watching violent movies, because they could trigger those kinds of memories for me. The second thing in the reading, which stood out was when he said in my late ‘20s, I would be giving readings and doing similar work like the work he was doing. I don't know if I was really open to hearing that I would be giving readings at that time. I immediately discounted any possibility of it when I left the reading and my response in my mind was, ‘Yeah Right!’ I then let it go and filed it away as interesting information.”
But as we now know, that psychic was right! However, David had much to learn before this would come to be.
”Somewhere between 19 and 20, I took my first workshop in Shamanism, which was being offered at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California by Michael Harner of the Shamanic Foundation. It was a great weekend, where we learned how to do divination from rocks and to find people's power animals. The whole weekend opened me up a lot. After that, I knew that I wanted to learn more about Shamanism, because it was connecting me to something much deeper within myself and I wanted to learn more about healing.”
At 21, David began working for his father in an office supply store, and card and gift shop in Los Angeles. One day, he stopped by a metaphysical bookstore and spotted a flyer about a Shamanic weekend workshop on healing and transformation offered by Nick Scully of Eugene, Oregon.
”On the flyer was an incredible image of the Egyptian deity – Thoth, the Egyptian god of healing, wisdom, magic and communications, aka (also known as) the scribe. I had never seen Thoth before and I was totally drawn to the image and to the idea of doing the workshop. The name of the workshop was ‘The Cauldron of Thoth.’”
Although he later found out that the workshop would consume his entire paycheck, David said the spirit moved him and he knew he must go.
”When I arrived at the workshop on that first night, Nicki Scully introduced the work and the intention of the weekend. She went on to explain that people experience the alchemy that she teaches as a perceptual shift of feeling altered or as an out-of-body experience at a certain point in the process when you reach the crown chakra. I thought to myself. ‘No Way! I am not leaving my body! I have done that before already.’ It was a full moon that evening and when we were guided through the alchemical process in order to have a direct experience of linking up to Thoth or our spirit guides, we had to go through the crown chakra. When we got to the crown chakra, at that moment my spirit got sucked out of my body like a vacuum. My spirit floated all around the room experiencing all of the elements and then I met Thoth. When I came back into my body, I had a profound shift in awareness that heightened my intuitive sensitivity.”
For the rest of the weekend David’s experiences served to open his awareness even more and by the end of the weekend, he knew he’d never be the same.
”Once again, my life could not be contained in my three dimensional reality that I had tried to keep it together in. The whole weekend was so powerful.”
For the next few months, David just let the events of that weekend sink in.
”After 3 months, I started to explore and work with some of what I learned and I thought, ‘Wow! This stuff is powerful. I can't believe how strong it is!’”
About nine months later, another workshop by the same person was being offered, so David again took part in it. At the time, he had a new job in customer service for a software company. When he returned to his job, he knew something was very different.
”When I was coming up the elevator, I felt a connection with Thoth. I felt my ears wiggling and my forehead began to move up and down. I did not know how to make my ears wiggle and my forehead move up and down in that manner. I felt almost altered from it. From that point forward, every time Thoth or my spirit guides would come in, my ears and forehead respond accordingly. I really did not know what to do with it all, except to just continue to connect and work with it and to see what happened as a result.”
Three months later, David decided to drive 10 hours up to northern California in the rain to take a Planetary Healing workshop with Ms. Scully. It was to take place in the upstairs of a refinished barn.
”It was that weekend that I decided that I wanted to learn more about healing and shamanism, and I decided to study with Nicki Scully. While most people in their early ‘20s were out at parties, I was delving into Shamanism, Egyptian mysteries, healing and metaphysics. I could not get filled up enough with all of it. I always got to work with Nicki Scully at different events that she was offering at different places. I would travel to the places where she was going to be. We would also work together over the phone and while driving together in the car. Nicki knew that I had a gift of being able to see into other realms and dimensions, and to describe what the spirits were showing me or telling me, even before I knew that specific gift was inside of me.”
They would often go on long drives together, during which time David was not allowed to look at Ms. Scully. He had to focus completely on his driving.
”She would then have me connect with Thoth and other spirit guides, and ask specific questions through me to the guides. I then had to report back directly what I was being shown or told by the spirits. The whole process only strengthened the ability and it taught me how to connect with two or more dimensions simultaneously. Nicki also taught me how to get out of the way, no matter what was going on for me personally in my life, to temporarily let it go, so I could be clear, open and available for whatever was wanting to come through.”
Eventually, David was initiated into the Egyptian mysteries and received transmissions of an energy that linked him to a lineage that would later reveal how it would work through him. Then at 25, he was fortunate enough to travel to Egypt with Ms. Scully and a group of spiritual seekers. While there, he learned about the importance of the temples to the various chakra’s of the body.
”In the Isis and Osirus myth, Set cuts Osirus up and dismembers him into many pieces. He scatters the pieces of Osirus all over Egypt along the Nile River or near it. The Nile River represents the spinal column of the Earth and where all of the temples are represents the pieces of Osirus. Each temple corresponds with a different chakra along the human body. When people visit those temples with someone who knows how they work and to which chakra they correspond to, that chakra and energy center becomes activated within those people who know how to connect there in that way.”
Shortly after he returned from Egypt, David fell ill with a non-specific virus in his liver.
”It showed up on two liver and blood panels that were taken by my doctor at that time. I was in a lot of pain physically and it was very draining. I had enough energy to go to work and then I would come home and go to sleep. The western doctor only could prescribe anti-inflammatory medicine, while the progress of the situation was being carefully monitored.”
Though David tried acupuncture and herbs to control the pain, it didn’t help. He then remembered a medicine wheel gathering he had attended a year before. He had met an amazing Shaman and healer named Brant Secunda, who was able to get rid of incurable illnesses. Brant had completed a 12-year apprenticeship with a Huichol medicine man in Mexico, learned how to heal and then formed his own organization called Dance of The Deer Foundation in Santa Cruz, California. “Inwardly, I was being moved by spirit to reconnect with Brant to get a healing. After a month of calling, I got an appointment. I explained the situation to Brant when I saw him for the healing. He said it would get worse before it gets better and that he would dream about me to see how he could help me. I saw him on a Friday and he said that by that next Wednesday we would know how the healing worked. Friday evening after the healing, everything was peaceful. Saturday and Sunday, I was curled up on the floor in agony. I was in so much pain in my liver area that I just wanted to die. It was so bad that on Monday, I went back to the doctor's office for a third liver and blood panel.”
At that point, David started to feel better and by the time he returned to the doctor’s office for the test results he was surprised to learn that his liver was completely clear of any virus.
”I thought that was pretty good, because things in the liver are not always easy to get rid of.”
David continued to work with Ms. Scully and the two began doing journey work together.
”We were taken down a long hall to an inner sanctuary of a temple that was pitch black. We were told that the female members of the Egyptian Pantheon were there and that the one who I was to work with would be revealed. Isis stepped forward. Her message was: ‘you are being opened. You are to do readings!’ Nicki said, ‘What kind of readings?’ The response was: ‘psychic readings. You are being given the gift of sight.’ When we came back from the journey, I was shocked and in full resistance. I thought, ‘No Way! I am not going to do that. They must be talking about someone else. They have the wrong person and I am not doing it!’”
But David’s resistance caused him much grief.
”Shortly after that, I had pain in my liver again. After the pain would leave, I had all of these visions, things about people and their lives, or our world that I didn't have a clue about. This pattern went on for a while.”
David realized that his resistance was causing the pain and he had to learn to let go.
”When I would allow the visions to come through without editing them or attempting to stop them, I would have no pain.”
However, David was still very shy and unsure of himself. He was not yet prepared to try to read anyone. Nor did he want to be read.
”During that time in my life, three different groups of friends who did not know one another, all told me that I should go have a reading from a woman that they knew who did numerology. My habit at that time was to always say no before saying yes. My response to all three groups of friends was, ‘No thanks! Forget it. I am not getting any readings right now!’”
Then a strange thing happened.
”One Friday evening, I happened to go out with one of those groups of friends and the woman who did the numerology readings was there. I couldn't believe it! There was no avoiding it or getting away from it. She and I met and talked. Her name is Gail Marie Sprague. I decided to have a reading with her and it was life changing. She and I became good friends and she taught me the numerology. It was amazing to me to be learning numerology, because math was always my worst subject in school.”
David found that knowing numerology was a wonderful social icebreaker when people came to him for a reading. He also found numerology to be fascinating and soon he really began to love it and have a connection with it. Today, David still makes use of numerology in his work as a psychic and healer. 1. Some people may think that I believe everything I read, hear and experience. A trip up to Barrie last weekend proves that I do not. I always try to keep an open mind, but in this case, I just can't say I believe anything that occurred. I went there to see Rene Gaudette, who claims to channel The Wonders, 3,000-4,000 beings who he says reside on the 28th dimension of reality, with God being on the top at the 32nd dimension of reality. Anyways, I took part in a taping for a promo show about The Wonders and during the course of this, I had the opportunity to talk to The Wonders and ask them questions. Sadly, there was little unity, if any, with actual reality and I left there quite disheartened. I have to say, however, that Rene and his wife Maggie seem to be genuine folks.
