Hello Everyone!

Okay, folks! Grab a coffee or your brew of choice, sit back and relax. I’ve got a very interesting story this month, plus the most recent news and lots of paranormal web sites for you to check out.

Well, I’m sad to say summer is coming to an end around here. However, it has been a wonderful season and I have many memories of time spent with friends and loved ones that I will cherish forever.

As some of you might already know, I have an adorable little Shih Tzu named Angel. I got her in January of this year and she has been brightening my life ever since. Of course, being a dog owner means certain responsibilities, such as ensuring that they are licensed, and getting all their shots and necessary vet needs. As well, it is best to have your dog spayed or neutered, because there are far too many animals that get put down since no one wants them.

Fortunately, with the help of my younger daughter and her mate, Angel went in last week to get fixed and I have been nursing her back to her normal self since then. It has only been a week, but already she is bouncing around here like normal and is in good spirits.

One thing I couldn’t help but notice during this event is that not all veterinarians are created equal – at least not in the money department. There is an animal hospital within about six blocks of me. However, they charge significantly more than the vet we took her to out of town. Lesson learned: check around, before settling on the one closest to you.

This month’s story comes from Tracy Lewis of West Harrison, Indiana. Tracy is married, with two boys ages 16 and 23. She is also self-employed, with her own computer repair business and as a distributor of Gourmet Scented Soy Candles. Tracy’s first paranormal experience occurred when she was a youngster and I think you’ll find her story quite fascinating.

Mom May Have Passed Over,
But She’s Still With Us!

Everyone needs a guardian angel, right? Well, not Tracy Lewis. She still has her mother, even though she has crossed over. Mom makes sure that Tracy is on the alert when something is wrong with her loved ones. It all began within minutes of her death a few years ago.
”The night my mom died, she came and woke me up and told me goodbye,” Tracy explained. “She held my hand and kissed my cheek!”
The 42-year-old said she knew she wasn’t dreaming, because just 17 minutes later, her sister called to give her the news. But that was certainly not the last time mom would drop by. Tracy believes she visited four days after her death as well.
”I had a lamp that belonged to her sitting on my dining room table… one of those kinds that you touch to turn on,” she said. “Well, suddenly at about 2 a.m., thinking that I heard my mom’s voice, I woke up to see a light.”
The lamp was on and you might very well say, so what?
”It wasn’t plugged!”
Tracy said her husband witnessed this strange occurrence as well. But this would not be the last one either. She has seen her mother in the passenger seat of a car and has had several other paranormal events occur that indicated her presence. Even her oldest son saw his grandmother in the house.
WARNING!
About two years ago, Tracy said her older son was supposed to drop by her house to carve pumpkins for Halloween.
”He didn’t show up, he didn’t call and I couldn’t reach him,” she said.
At first, Tracy figured he was just busy so she lied down to take a nap. She was soon awakened to the sound of a talking candy dish. Yes, a candy dish that talks when you reach for a candy. Tracy figured her son must have arrived, so got up and went to take a look. Finding no one there, she walked toward the bathroom and as she did, the dish started talking again. (I wonder what it says!?!?)
Before you assume that this nifty little dish just went haywire, Tracy wants to tell you:
“It was turned off and IT HAD NO BATTERIES IN IT!”
Now, as if that isn’t weird enough, about an hour later she got a telephone call from her daughter-in-law saying her son was in the hospital. Tracy said he had attempted to commit suicide, but didn’t go through with it. She truly believes that mom might be the candy dish culprit – come to warn her of her son’s plight.
OTHER SPIRITS
Tracy is certainly not unnerved by the presence of spirits, as she had her very first paranormal experience when she was 12 years old.
”I was at a friend’s house, where their grandmother had died in the house,” she explained. “The rocking chair still rocks every night, just like when she was alive.”
At the time, Tracy said she just could not believe it at the time and felt that such things simply couldn’t happen. She was raised as a Catholic and for a number of years she remained a true skeptic. However, since then she has had so many experiences that she can no longer deny it.
”Yes, I am a full believer now!” she exclaimed.
Tracy’s mom has not been the only spiritual visitor over they years. When her younger son was almost three years old, she heard him jabbering away in his room to someone, but no one was there.
”I went in and asked him who he was talking to and he said Pappa, and pointed to the corner of his room.”
Pappa was Tracy’s grandfather, who had passed over. While this was startling enough, she noticed that her Pappa’s hairbrush had somehow appeared in her son’s room. It was the same brush that Pappa had used to scratch her son’s back when he was just a baby.
”I hadn’t seen it since that time, but sure enough, there it was and my son said Pappa gave it to him.”
There have been countless other paranormal happenings as well, but for the sake of brevity, we’ll leave you with only a few. One very strange event that has been occurring of late, really had Tracy confused at first.
”I hear someone whispering to me when I am sleeping and no, it’s not anyone alive in this house. And just recently, I figured out who it is.”
Tracy said she believes it is her sister, who passed over in November 2005. The reason she believes this is because her sister had expressed the desire to tell her something the day before she died. However, at the time she couldn’t and she was found dead the next morning. Perhaps Tracy will eventually find out what her sister needed to say.
Though Tracy is now open-minded about the paranormal, she says she really understands others when they say they do not believe in it.
”I understand where they are coming from, but when this stuff happens to you… you believe real quick like!”
She noted a close friend, who did not believe in such things – that is, until she experienced something for herself. Now, she is a believer too. As for Tracy, she says her experiences have totally changed her views on life, death and everything in between.
”I was raised Catholic and believing there was life-PERIOD/death-PERIOD. Do I believe that way now? Most definitely not, because I know there is more IN both and IN BETWEEN and MOST DEFINITELY AFTER! Too many things have happened to me in my life to believe otherwise!”
Tracy has one word of wisdom she’d like to pass on to others about the paranormal world. While it is all so intriguing, she says one must not get involved with candle magic.
”I thought I would dabble in it in hopes of making some kind of contact with my mom, whom I miss so horribly bad… so that maybe I could get some peace of mind and of soul. What I got was a horrid vision/spirit standing by me starting out as a white light and then turning into what looked like my mom, but then rapidly turned very gross and dark black, with a scream the likes (of which) I have never heard!”
Tracy says she was so terrified, she immediately blew out the candle, broke it in half, ran water on it to make sure it was out and then threw it outside as far as she could.
”I spent the rest of the night with the most uneasy feeling (in fact, literally sick to my stomach, etc.), so I ended up grabbing a crucifix and a bible, and slept with them.”
She also repeated the Lord’s Prayer over and over, until she finally fell asleep.
”Don’t mess with candle magic, unless you’re prepared for anything. I obviously wasn’t prepared!”
I would like to add to that, that playing with an Ouija Board is also a dangerous practice. These boards seem to draw the lowest of the low in the spirit realms and you just don’t want to invite one of them into your home.
