FEATURE ARTICLE:

This month’s story comes from a gentlemen whom I met through a Yahoo group on line. Fifty - five - year - old Durl Lovell lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas and sadly to say lost his beloved stepfather, Carrol in 2001.

A Dream of Carrol

Last night I had a dream... a dream so real I woke up crying. In my heart I know this wasn't just a dream. No. It was something so much more. To me... this was a second chance.

My wife heard me crying. She thought I was havinganother nightmare. I told her no, that I had a dream about Carrol (my step dad) who was a great man in my life. Yes...there were times I got pretty mad at him. Problem was I failed to see his side of things. But when you’re young, who does? This was a man who took a woman with five kids. Married this woman and raised those five kids as his own. I'll never forget what's he done for me. I love him so.

He took cancer... the doctors only gave him six months to live. But God took him sooner.

One night, the five of us went to see him at moms. We all sat around talking about our growing up with him. When it came time for me to go, he raised himself out of his chair and gave me a hug. I told him that I loved him... and he told me he loved me too.

The sad part is, he died the next night. If I had only known that was my last time to see him. I would have told him so much more. This left a void in my heart because I never got the chance. But last night, I had this dream... a dream so real that somehow I don't think it was just a dream for I was there with him. I felt him so strong in me.

I was standing on this hillside. I looked down and he had just gotten of his horse (he loved riding horses). He started walking toward the barn. I went down to where he was and said, “Hey old man... give me a hug.” (Those who know me, know I'm crying now... can hardly see from the tears.)

I said I don't care if your a dream or real, but I want a hug. We hugged and I told him how much I love him. He said he knew. That's when I woke up crying.

Cassy (my wife) heard me. She pushed me... told me to wake up. I told her I had a dream about Carrol. She
reached for me and held me close. I told her that I love her and to never forget that.

To me, this dream wasn't a dream. It was a vision. A vision that was real. It was just too strong... too emotional to be anything else but real. So yes, I know I did get that second chance to tell him. I love your Carrol.

SIDE NOTE: That night we were sitting around talking about growing up with him. He apologized for a whipping he gave my baby brother and me when we were small. Oh yes, we still remember it well. He said he didn't mean to whip us that hard. I guess he wanted to make amends for it. It made me feel good because he said that.

One Memorial Day weekend Cassy and I went to visit his grave. There on his tombstone someone had placed a toy plastic horse. To me that was a sign... I know now that I did see him that night.

(MY SIDE NOTE) I wanted to share this story with you for two reasons:

1)Because loved ones who pass over often come to us in dreams. I have had many visits with my wonderful adopted mom whom I loved so much.

2)Because I had a very similar dream about my adopted father a couple of years ago. He was a hard - nosed, stubborn man in life who pushed me continually to do better. Being adopted, he expected me to excel and it seemed, to prove that I was worthy. He could also be brutal at times, with both my adopted mom and me.

Since his attitude did not seem to be tempered with much love, I grew to resent him and when he lay dying of cancer in 1994, I had great difficulty sharing how I felt about him.

In the dream, I found myself knocking on the front door of a quaint little cottage. (In life, I usually saw him when I traveled to northern Ontario to his cottage in Bracebridge.) However, this cottage didn’t look the same. Anyway, I knocked on the door and my father opened it with a huge smile on his face.

“I’ve been waiting so long to see you,” he said extending his arms for a hug.

We hugged and I felt rather strange. In life, he never greeted me with such love and enthusiasm. We then sat down inside the cottage and he told me he was sorry for how he had treated me. For the first time, I truly felt love for this man… this soul, who seemed so distant before.

For years, I felt great angst every time I thought of him and could not find it in my heart to forgive him. After this dream, that all changed. I now know that he felt driven in life to be a certain way, but in fact he does love me and now, I love him too.)

Letter From Heaven

On the day of my funeral, you placed a pen and paper in my hands and said, "If there's any way to write back... write me."

Well honey, I found a way and this is for you. The day I died, I remember going through this tunnel. And YES... there is a tunnel. And yes… there is a light at the end of this tunnel. The tunnel is our passageway to the Other Side or Heaven as it's called.

When I first got there, a hand reached out to me. I wondered: who could this be? When I looked up to see who it was (Where are the words now when I need them.) I saw someone I had missed for so long. Even though I knew she was in my heart. But to finally see her… only heaven could bring such joy. I saw my grandmother. When she touched my hand, I felt warm all over. My heart burned in me with just her touch. She never said a word, but I could feel her love.

I look to my left... there I saw Carrol (my step dad). He was walking toward me. And as he was, I could see such love in his eyes. We embraced and he said, “Remember that dream?” I said, “Yeah.” He said, “That was real. It wasn't just a dream.”

And he said, “I'll take you to the place where you saw me riding my horse.” All I could say was, “Wow!”
I knew it was more than just another dream.

And now to you my Darling wife: I will always be with you. At times you will say my name when you are alone in your thoughts. It's because I put those thoughts there. I won't let you forget me. At times, I will come to you in your dreams. I'm saying this now so you will know... I'm really with you then and even now.

Now do you want to know about Heaven? Heaven is a place of love. There is no hate or jealousy here. Everyone shows such love. They all help each other in any way they can. What do we do here you ask? Well, we are never bored. There is work here to do for all, but not work like you think. There is a lot of knowledge here, but that knowledge doesn't come freely to you. You have to want it. There are schools here of all kinds. It's in these schools that we learn of the wisdom and knowledge of God.

But some things can't be taught except only through experience. And that's why we desire at times to come back to live another lifetime on earth. Even that takes years of preparation, but that's enough of that.

After I talked to Carrol and my grandmother, I looked to my right. How to describe whom I saw is beyond words. To even try to speak one utterance wouldn't begin to express what I felt... and whom I saw. It was my Spirit Guide... Rachel. She had the most beautiful
smile on her face. She reached out to me and I ran into her arms.

She held me and said, “Welcome back Dreamer.”

When she said that, it was like a part of me that had been hidden suddenly came to my consciousness. That was my name - given to me from the day I was created. I then began to remember all the other lifetimes I had lived, who I was and what my names were.

She said, “I’ve always been with you my love.” And I said, “Yeah, I know. You've always let me know you were there watching me, helping me when I needed it most.”

Then she and I began to review my life's experiences... things I was to learn in this lifetime. And did I learn? You tell me. Do you feel anything written here? Then I learned well.

Golden Compass Immersed In Controversy

By now, I’m sure you’ve all heard about the book by Scholastic called The Golden Compass, which is actually part of a trilogy entitled "His Dark Materials" written by Phillip Pullman. Very soon, this book comes out as a movie at theaters across North America.

I first read about The Golden Compass in our local newspaper because the Roman Catholic School Board had just pulled it from their curriculum. Naturally, I wondered what was so terrible about one little book. However, upon further investigation, I learned that the basic premise of The Golden Compass is atheism and that at the end of the story, Adam and Eve kill God.

Yikes! I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want my grandchildren to even consider the possibility and I’m not Catholic. However, now you know what the controversy is about, it is up to each of you to decide.

What Do Aliens Look Like?

Good question, but I suspect that if there are alien beings out there, then they probably look a variety of different way, just like people here on Earth with our Caucasians, Asians, Indians, etc.

One fellow in Chile claims to have captured an alien on film. Photographer German Pereira, who graduated from the University of Concepcion and lives in Santiago, Chile, says he was simply taking a picture of a police patrol on horseback in Parque Forstal when he inadvertently snapped a shot of the little creature.

A New & Urgent Call For Disclosure

Last month, I wrote about a meeting of more than two - dozen high profile people who were to hold a press conference at the National Press Club to call for government disclosure of UFO files.

Why the urgency? Well, imagine for a minute that a fleet of UFOs suddenly appeared in our airspace and acted in a hostile manner. What would you do? I know I would panic because no one had really prepared my family or me for such a scenario.

Now we’re not talking here about Mr. Brown who saw a UFO over his cornfield. We’re talking former airline pilots, military personnel and other sane, intelligent folks from seven different countries who just happened to come face to face with the reality of UFOs through either a sighting or an investigation into one.

Even two former United States presidents say they have seen UFOs: Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. And recently, U.S. Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich admitted that he too had seen one.

The unfortunate part of all this is that the U.S. government will likely still refuse to release its information on UFOs and the media, which is dictated to by politicians, will continue to give this subject as little coverage as possible.

Comet Swarm Warns Of Christmas Quake

Sorcha Faal has reported through NPR Russian news that Italian astronomer Andrea Boattini of Arizona’s Mount Lemmon Observatory has discovered an alarming number of new comets in our solar system that portend danger for Earth.

A total of 146 new comets have been spotted, with three of them – 17P/Holmes, 8P/Tuttle and Boattini that the astronomer says will be visible by the entire world in the first few months of 2008. Of great concern is the alignment of the three between Dec. 18 and 31, 2007 because of the calculations of the ancient Persian Magi (Three Wise Men) who predicted massive and violent Earth upheavals during this event.

The last such alignment, which occurred on Dec. 26, 2004 when Comet C/2004 Q2 (Machholz) arrived, coincided with the catastrophic earthquake and Tsunami in the Indian Ocean that took more than 250,000 lives.

Sorcha Faal also noted that Brazilian psychic Jucelino Nobrega da Luz spoke to AFP News Service about his prediction for another powerful earthquake in Indonesia on Dec. 23. Apparently, officials there are taking the prediction very seriously and have already made arrangements of evacuation shelters for residents.

Faal said Western countries would not heed such warnings because “they have so far separated themselves from true knowledge that their lives have become but simple shells of all they are capable of being. But, though we know our words will go unheeded they must still be spoken so that no man can ever make the accusation that they haven’t been warned.”
