Just when you think you have nothing to do, boy do the fates change that in a hurry!

As you know, I’m getting the finishing touches put on my manuscript for Blood Vengeance. Well, now I’m also co - writing a book on Haunted Houses with my good friend Tracy Bonczyk.
Now as if that weren’t enough, I’ve also been asked to write copy and set up web sites for the gentleman with whom I wrote Blood Vengeance. The web sites will actually be geared directly at seniors and will cover everything from writing to health, games, video, spiritualism and much more, so I’ve really got my hands full.

And now for some unexpected good news! The gentleman with whom I wrote The Man With The Magic Spectacles just informed me that my publisher is making arrangements with a company in India to have the book distributed in that country. Whoohoooo!

This month’s story comes from 27 - year - old Tim McMahon. Tim, who is a writer, artist and part - time student, has lived in a haunted house in Geelong, Australia for 19 years.

Australian shares home with two ghosts

Living in a haunted house has become second nature to Tim McMahon of Geelong, Australia, although he admits that sometimes the resident spirits still surprise him at times.
Tim said his family moved into the house in May of 1989, when he was 8 years old and for the first three months everything seemed fine.
“Then some time in August in broad daylight, Amelia appeared to me for the first time,” he said.
Tim explained that he used to just call this ghost a ‘spook’ but later decided that might not be appropriate, so he gave her a name. He added that when he first laid eyes on her, she appeared very real.
“When I first saw her, she looked like a living person. She wasn’t transparent or anything like that. In her first appearance, Amelia would have been about five feet, five inches in height. She had light brown hair and wore a dress that looked like it was made around the early 1900’s. She also looked to be aged in her early to mid - ‘20s.”
Tim admitted that the experience was frightening.
“I think the only reason I was afraid of her was because I didn’t know who she was. I became even more frightened when she suddenly disappeared.”
As if that was not enough to rattle a child, Tim soon discovered that Amelia was not the only resident spirit.
“Not long after I met the other ghost – a male, who looked like he was in his ‘40s and about six feet in height. He always appears wearing a fancy striped suit and he has a long, thick mustache.”
This ghost shook Tim up even more.
“I remember how terrified I was of him as a child,” he said. “How he used to stand at the end of my bed. He would then lean over the bed, so he was almost face to face with me and I would just freeze petrified. As I got older, I would hide under the blankets and hope he’d go away.”
Aside from appearing to Tim, the resident ghosts had a few tricks up their proverbial sleeves as well.
“For example, I was given an electronic piano keyboard for my 13th birthday. Shortly afterward during the night, I was trying to get to sleep and the keyboard turned on by itself and played the song Beautiful Dreamer. I got up, turned on the light and the music stopped playing. I checked the keyboard and it wasn’t even turned on!”
That first night of music turned into many, he explained.
“The keyboard kept playing like that every night for years, until eventually I just lost it and screamed STOP! The funny thing is, it did stop. It never did play again after that.”
Tim added that he was so freaked out that he sold the keyboard soon afterward.
In another incident, Tim explained that he had about twenty hardcover books lying on his chest of drawers.
“I was just about to go to sleep when I heard this loud whooshing noise and then a whole heap of objects hit the wall on the opposite side of the room from where I was lying in bed. I quickly got out of bed and then turned on the light to see all twenty books lying scattered on the floor against the wall on the opposite side of the room.”
Over the years, Tim said not all of the ghostly activities have been so unsettling.
“Amelia has also helped me out quite a lot throughout my life,” he said. “I remember always running late for the school bus and I’d find after coming back from brushing my teeth that all my clothes were set out across my bed ready for me to wear. Mum was asleep at the time. I could hear (her) snoring from the bathroom and dad was at work…”
When Tim was 18, he said the two ghostly figures appeared together.
“In 1999, I saw Amelia (and) she was not alone. The creepy male ghost was with her, although they did not appear to like each other.”
He added that their appearance seemed to have changed.
“They now were semi - transparent and glowed with a bright blue and white color to them.”
Tim had lost some of his fear and decided it might be the right time to approach them, “but as I did they began to fade away until they disappeared completely.
Today, Tim is a writer, artist and part - time student, who still lives in the same house. While the male ghost still “creeps me out,” he said Amelia does not despite her ongoing antics.
“One of the things Amelia is doing at the moment is throwing the lid of my laundry basket across the room.”
Since experiencing what he calls a “mental awakening” in 2005, Tim said he sees Amelia and her not - so - friendly sidekick all the time. As well, he said there are “weird blue orbs” in the home as well.
“In fact, I saw a lot of them just last night. They looked like tiny flashes of blue ball lightening – only thing was the orbs were all different shapes and none of them were exactly circular in shape.”
Tim said he has tried to find out more about the house that has been home to spirits for so long.
“Before my house was built, there were lots of dairy farms in the area with little swamps all over the place. A local historian once told me it is possible that a dairy farm may have stood where my house is now.”
Tim said he has found “old rotted horse and cart wheels buried in the back yard and what appears to be bits of rusted chicken wire, bones from various animals large and small all buried in roughly the same place.”
Tim explained that the swamp areas were later filled in and the dairy farms were razed in the ‘30s or ‘40s.
“The new estate became a government commission estate that was built in 1949… My house was rented out for many years, until it was sold to the public some time during the early 1960’s.”
From then on, he said the house changed hands many times.
“The Greene’s were the last family living in our house before we moved in… It’s strange they were only here for just over six years.”
Tim said he is what is called ‘emphatic,’ as he can easily pick up the emotions, ideas and even thoughts of others. As well, he said he has visions that often hit him without warning. He calls them “flash forwards” and said they can sometimes be frightening. However, he added that they “always come true.” As well, he is able to bi - locate seemingly being in two places at once. To bi - locate means that the physical body is in one place, while the spirit body is somewhere else.

Man Captures Apparition on Film

Brandon Alvis, founder of the American Paranormal Research Association (APRA) believes he’s finally captured film of a ghost at the Cresent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
"Myself and the co - founder of the group both saw something pacing back and forth at the end of the hall on the third floor. When I snapped a few photos, I caught a photo of interest."

Blue Spirit Light Caught on Film

This new item reminds me of Tim’s story above, as he sees blue orbs all the time. A fellow named John said he could see a blue light too and captured a picture of it. Most orb photos show up with white or translucent spots and it is difficult in many cases to determine if the person has simply captured dust, snow or rain on the lens. However, this one is quite convincing.
"No one ever gets a photo of real spirit lights - - that is what I was told they were many years ago - - that glow on their own,” John said. “I have seen the lights a few times long ago, but now after my mother - in - law passed away, I have seen a blue glowing 'orb' / light coming out of where we keep her ashes urn. My wife has seen it here and my sister - in - law has seen the same thing at her house, too. It is small and bright, moves around as if it knows not to bump into things, and sometimes goes out the window, maybe to my sister - in - law's house.
"A few months ago, I was at a local haunted building taking pictures and saw the same sort of thing and got a photo of it before it got away. I was stunned to see that I have finally captured one."

Ghosts, Monsters Banned in China

The Australian reports ghosts, monsters banned in China
In preparation for the Beijing Olympics in August, China has banned all video and audio content related to ghosts and monsters. According to the General Administration of Press and Publications, all media sources have only a couple of weeks to sift through their programs to get rid of the offending material, which included content involving, "wronged spirits and violent ghosts, monsters, demons, and other inhuman portrayals, strange and supernatural storytelling for the sole purpose of seeking terror and horror.”
The new guidelines aimed to "control and cleanse the negative effect these items have on society, and to prevent horror, violent, cruel publications from entering the market through official channels and to protect adolescents' psychological health."
This news is quite disturbing in that graphic, pirated sex and horror movies are available on most street corners in Beijing.

10th Conference on Science and Consciousness

The 10th International Conference on Science and Consciousness will be held March 28 - April 2, 2008 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Entitled the White Buffalo Day Retreat, this one - day conference is expected to draw experts in the field of consciousness who will share their knowledge through lectures, discussions and experiential sessions.
This subject is still an unexplored area of science of interest to not only physicists, medical researchers, psychologists and anthropologists, but also shamans, healers and meditators.

Alien Contactees To Attend Conference

People who have been contacted by aliens will be among those present at the 3rd Annual Earth Transformation Conference being held May 16 to 18 in Kona, Big Island of Hawaii.

Teenager Sees Ghost Ship on St. Lawrence

When Quebec teenager, Mathieu Giguere looked across Tatamagouche Bay in mid - January and saw a brightly lit ship it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary. But then the 17 - year - old realized he had seen something quite extraordinary.
He often saw late night harbor cruises on the St. Lawrence River near his home in Sorel - Tracy, Quebec but certainly not in the dead of winter when the river was covered with ice.
"It was bright white and gold and looked like a schooner with three masts, like the Bluenose," he said. "I was like, that's cool to see a ship here.'"
Mathieu had decided to work out that evening at Shapen - Up fitness and stepped outside around 10 p.m. When he saw the glowing ship, he called to a woman working out inside, but she didn’t come, so he watched the ship for several minutes before retuning inside. When he left at 11 p.m., the ship was no longer in sight.
Interestingly, there is a famous story about a phantom ship that shows up every now and then in the Northumberland Strait. Dating back to the 1700’s, the ship is described as having three masts and glows with fire. Some say they also saw people jumping from its decks to escape the blaze.

Elmo Doll Makes Death Threats

Like something straight out of a horror movie, a Lithia, Florida family says their child’s programmable Elmo doll has been making death threats. Originally, the doll sang songs or recited the favorite color of its 2 - year - old owner, James Bowman. However, when new batteries were put into the fuzzy Sesame Street character, it started saying things like “Kill James.”
"It's not something that really you would think would ever come out of a toy," said Melissa, James' mother. "But once I heard, I was just kind of distraught."
Called the Elmo Knows Your Name doll, it connects to a computer to learn certain phases and names. About an hour after new batteries were put in, "I noticed exactly what it was saying," Melissa said. "And my son was repeating exactly what it was saying."
Even though the doll is James’ favorite toy, she said they had to take it away from him.
Fisher - Price, the toy company that manufactures the dolls, said a replacement voucher would be issued to the family. The company will also investigate whether similar dolls malfunction in that way.

UFO expert says Secret UN Meeting Confirmed

Dr. Michael E. Salla, author of Exopolitics: Political Implications of the Extraterrestrial Presence (Dandelion Books, 2004) says he has received additional confirmation that a secret United Nations meeting was held to discuss UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
The meeting, which he says took place at the New York office of the UN, has now been further confirmed by Clay and Shawn Pickering through a confidential source as having taken place on February 12, 2008.
”It was claimed that a document had been circulated at the meeting, and was now being relayed to key ministries of many nations for further study and comments. I have yet to witness the document, which allegedly refers to an offer by extraterrestrials to help prepare humanity for the disclosure of extraterrestrial life. The meeting also apparently discussed how the UN was being encouraged to take a proactive stand on the release of secret technologies that will enable the development of free energy. The date 2013 was given as the time when extraterrestrials would unambiguously appear.
“What follows next is a report of a further meeting between Clay and Shawn Pickering and their confidential source (A) regarding the UN meeting on UFOs held on the morning of February 12, 2008. They pointed out that the ‘unambiguous showing up’ of extraterrestrial life – sitting over major cities - would occur in 2017, rather than 2013 as described in the earlier article. The role of religion and population growth was also allegedly discussed, and appeared to raise many issues at the meeting, especially for India… it was claimed that India would have a difficult time processing disclosure of extraterrestrial life, possibly leading to the elimination of Hinduism. This appears inconsistent with India’s long tradition of advanced technologies and extraterrestrial life in its Vedic texts, and multiplicity of gods. If, as the confidential source claims, that Roman Catholics will have an easier time with disclosure due to the belief of ‘three Gods in one,’ so too might a religion like Hinduism, which has a multiplicity of gods and is very eclectic.”

Don’t ever think it’s too late for you to pursue something that really interests you. Studies have shown that the human brain might lose some cells, but the sparks between those that remain are more than enough to keep you mentally active throughout your lifetime. Many now famous folks became artists, writers, teachers and more later in life. So don’t get discouraged if you think you’re past your prime. As long as you continue to read, socialize and remain active, you can accomplish whatever you wish.
