Greetings friends and family!

I’ve been very busy, but now I can take pause to pen my semi - annual newsletter.

I think.

As I attempt to write this, I am under attack by my son (7) and granddaughter (3), with ray guns and walky - talkies in hand, so excuse me if this is a bit disjointed.

A book - signing event is looming on my horizon – this Thursday, July 30 to be precise, at the Gainesville Hilton. Again I will be hawking my novel, “Endless.”

This is a special occasion, as I will be rubbing elbows with such best - selling authors as Charlaine Harris (creator of The Southern Vampire Mysteries), and award - winning mystery writer Mary Anna Evans, in addition to many others.

My new novel, although finished, is still going through edits and re - writes and extensive excisions of chapters that don’t belong in the story. Ah, yes, a painful yet important part of the process.

I’m very excited about this new book and I think you will be too.

This week, I have the opportunity to hone my writing skills at the Anhinga Writer’s Studio workshops (formally known as Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Writing the Region Workshops). In addition to this several - day series of classes, I will be wrapping up the August edition of Senior Times Magazine (www.seniortimesmagazine.com), and putting together the Our Town magazines, a well. It promises to be a busy week! But busy is good.

As the sign on my home office wall proclaims, “It’s All Good.”
