Hard work, because it happens over the long haul with planning, preparation, and perspiration; Perseverance in prayer, because power to accomplish great things comes only with God’s blessing and sanction; Loving people, because that’s the only thing that will keep them coming once you’ve reached them.

“Good Morning, First Church, May I Help You?” (How To Make Your Church More Accessible)
Barna Research group phoned 3,764 randomly selected Protestant congregations to test their availability.
They were unable to establish contact with anyone at 40
percent of them, despite repeated attempts. Nearly half
of the churches where no person could be contacted
lacked an answering machine. In other cases, voice
messages were left unanswered.
These results paint a dismal picture of church readiness in meeting needs of communities -- a picture we must change. To do so, we must examine the reasons for our lack of availability and then implement some practical solutions.
