Danny Von Kanel, author and Minister of Music residing in Franklinton,LA recently had published several of his articles in known magazine periodicals. In the June, 2007 issue of Focus on the Family, Von Kanel’s article, “When the Empty Nest Returns” was written under a pen name. Focus on the Family has a circulation of 2, 200,000 according to the 2006 Christian Writer’s Market. In addition, his article “10 Creative Ways To Support Your Pastor” appeared in the June, 2007 Issue of Mature Living, a senior adult magazine with a circulation of 318,000.

Also, in coming months the following articles will appear: “Let Them Serve As Deacons”, a dramatic reading in Let’s Worship (cir. 5,600) Winter 2007/2008; “10 Keys To Motivating Laity”, Clergy Journal (cir. 6,000), December, 2007; “Fear Factor Neutralized”, Clergy Journal, January, 2008; and “10 Ways To Bring God Back Into Rehearsals”, Creator Magazine (cir. 6,000), July/August, 2007 choir member edition.

Von Kanel serves as full-time Minister of Music/Outreach at Memorial Baptist Church in Bogalusa. He served formerly at Liberty Baptist Church, Liberty, MS from 1998-2002 and First Baptist Church, Franklinton, LA from 2002-2005 . Von Kanel has two books published by CSS Publishing, “Built by the Owner’s Design” (The Positive Approach to Building Your Church God’s Way), 2003, and “Building Sunday School by the Owner’s Design (100 Tools for Successful Kingdom Growth), 2005.
