Newsletter Dated: 8/22/2005 10:11:21 AMSubject: Rankin County Native C. A.Webb prepares for climax to history-making event in Jackson, MS!
Since the beginning of 2005, Rankin County Native C. A. Webb has worked hard to continue his mission to provide more exposure to the arts and those who are promoting the arts.
With the introduction of C. A. A.T.S. (the Creative Arts Amateur Talent Search 2005) in June 2005, he began what was going to be an ambitious campaign to link various performing artists together in one special competition. The process was also to be captured on tape, to be aired on 16 WAPT. Thus far that project has achieved its goal, with the last night of competing to take place on Friday, August 26, 2005 at the MS Arts Center, beginning at 7p.m.
What is next for Webb?
Well, there are several projects in th works.
1) The return of Webb Wednesdays will begin Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Potions Bar and Grill. The night will feature singers and poets and will be taped for Webb's television show "Conversations" which airs on 16 WAPT. The event is sponsored by Shadow Play Entertainment and will be hostsed by the R&B singer, Ca'ya.
2) The "Conversations" bookclub will begin on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Microtel Inn and Suites, downtown Jackson (behind the Taco Bell off High St.). The book club will meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 4p.m. and will discuss books selected by Webb that address the issues of courage, determination, inspiration and self-help. The cost is $20 per month and includes all books discussed as well as refreshments being served.
"Conversations" will be taped and aired as a program on 16 WAPT.
