RUNNINGBACK – SAT – Oct 11
Three days before the BIG GAME, the NCAA decides to suspend indefinitely (and arguably) the best player UGA has to field. Head coach Mark Richt says he “is very disappointed”. In what? Todd Gurley, III, or the NCAA?
I have a few questions of my own. When did the alleged offense take place? Did anyone see Gurley take $400 (or $40, or 40Ȼ, or 4Ȼ) for an autograph? Can anyone say for certainty he did? Can the victim prove Gurley committed the offense? Can anyone prove it?
Can it be proven before Saturday afternoon’s game with Missouri at noon? Then. I (e pluribus unum) say DON’T EVEN TRY!
Todd Gurley, lll, Is a Heisman Trophy candidate. This blemish on his record could eliminate him from the running.
Todd Gurley, l, is his grandpa, Todd Gurley, ll, is his father; who is Todd Gurley, lll? He is the victim of this asinine absurdity.
What can we do about it? Plenty — but it’s really Mark Richt’s call. He should phone for Gurley insist that he play today (the autograph seeker, or the whistleblower, has to prove his allocation). Although Todd Gurley did not make the trip, UGA should beat Missouri at Tiger stadium 39 to 21.
At the busses enroute to the airport. Gurley was heard to say, as his buddies piled in, “It was great playin’ wid you guys!”
Did he mean it?
