My second book, Bjoyfl, was accepted this week! Imagine how happy I am. It was one of the thrills of my lifetime to get my first book, Puddles, accepted; and this past year has been fantastic, and now I will have two books published.
Bjoyfl was inspired by my seeing a vanity license plate with the letters B-J-O-Y-F-L on it and when I realized what it said, "be joyful" I was awe struck at the power of those letters and the message behind them.It is really that simple, I said to myself, "be joyful." Or is it?
One day I was at church and a single gal was singing in a group that was touring around the country. I went up to her afterward and complimented her on the exciting lifestyle she must have. She lookled me dead in the eyes, and said, I would give it all up to have what you have, a husband and kids." I pondered her words for quite a while and knew I would write about that sentiment some day..That someday came and I sat down and wrote, Bjoyfl.
Bjoyfl is about a 35 year old single non-trad college student who is looking for love and makes a series of misconnections along the way.
