I had a wonderful trip to South Carolina. The signing at Clemson gave me the opportunity to actually sign Puddles for two others and sign a few more to stay on the shelves of the Barnes and Noble book store on campus. It was fun to sit behind a table with my books and my business cards and my proud heart screaming out the words, "I am an author!"
A woman came by the ten of us set up there with two boys who looked about eight and ten. She pointed to all of us and said, "These people are famous. They have all written books!" The boys had expressions of amazement on their faces, and I'll tell y'all, that made the trip for me.
Later several of us traveled on to share in a barbecue and some author fellowship at the home of the author of Resurrecting Paul, Paul E. Blais. The communicating that went on in those hours we were together created a precious memory for this NY gal.
Then to top it all off, I had a fabulous time with my parents, my nephew, sister, brother, sister-in-law, two other nephews, a wife of a nephew, two nieces and their hubbies and kiddos, and a bunch of my sister-in-law's relatives, so yeah....y'all get the picture? I had a GREAT time!
