We are so busy running the diner seven days a week and when we are home I am working on book three...(100 pages off to an agent who read five pages and asked to read 100)...so yesterday I said to our eleven year old..."What do you want to do about decorating for Christmas????"
He went into the attic and came out with a two foot tree in one hand and a two foot Santa in the other and said, "That's it!"
Last week he already made my year by writing a paragraph for his ELA class that talked about the most important thing to receive for Christmas in his mind is "love."
Just when you wonder if they "get it," you find how they do...At age 49 and 55 with an eleven year old at home...it is nice to know his heart is in the right place...a glowing ember of love...
