SERIES?

If you’d like to follow my books as a series start off with Peppermint Creek Inn, then As Big As The Sky follow with Love Through A Stranger’s Eyes and next will be “An Angel For Christmas” with more to follow. Please be assured that all books “stand alone” meaning you will not be confused if you read out of sequence. I do however, use characters from previous books as I go along, but in very minor roles.

BOOK SIGNING & ROMANCE WRITER’S CONFERENCE - New Jersey U.S.A.

The New Jersey Romance Writers Conference & Booksigning was a great success.

According to a pre-arranged plan, I met up with Sue Waldeck, editor and owner of the review site, The Road To Romance, http://www.roadtoromance.ca and her good friend & booklover, Heather McQuillin, at a plaza in Burlington, Ontario Canada.
Heather was so nice to volunteer her car for the trip. She drove us to New Jersey where we nestled into the gorgeous Double Tree Hotel in Sommerset.
We hit lots of writer’s workshops and I learned a lot. I brought home loads of information and some fabulous writing techniques to use in future novels.

This was my first book signing ever and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to sign many books. I was in total awe to discover my table was plugged between romantic suspense authors MAGGIE SHAYNE and MARIAH STEWART - Mariah Stewart is the author of “The President‘s Daughter” !
Maggie Shayne is a favorite author of mine who writes for Harlequin and also wrote the romantic suspense “The Gingerbread Man”. We chatted and she told me about her five daughters and how she loves to write romance.

During the conference we met lots of writers and authors including husband/wife writing team TORI CARRINGTON who write for Harlequin. Historical romance author APRIL KIHLSTROM http://www.sff.net/people/april.kihlstrom/ and I sat together and had a lovely chat over breakfast one morning.
I met Harlequin Intrigue’s GAYLE WILSON http://suspense.net/gayle-wilson/index.html in the book buying lineup. I’ve read many of Gayle’s romantic suspense books. Some are great…some not so great, but she’s a pretty good romantic suspense writer overall.

And I saw the famous NORA ROBERTS, and chatted briefly with historical romance author KAREN MONK of “The Prisoner” fame- a great read by the way and I also chatted with MADELINE HUNTER while I was getting her to sign “Stealing Heaven” for me.

We met BRENDA HARLEN, a lovely Canadian author who has her first Harlequin Intimate romance, McIver’s Mission, coming out in May 2003. http://www.intimatemomentsauthors.com/authorpages/brendaharlen.htm .
I can’t wait to read it!!
We also chatted with Jane Porter http://www.janeporter.com/.
Her romance books sound very good ! Especially The Italian Groom which was her first Harlequin. Although it may now be hard to find, here’s a peek:

COTTAGE CRISIS
As some of you already know it looks like my writing haven is out of commission until Spring. Nothing like a nice chimney fire in the cap to put a damper on things. I knew the book I was working on was hot but I didn’t realize it was this hot!!! LOL. Anyhows, the fire caused damage and my writing paradise is gone for now.
However, my dad has installed a lovely woodstove downstairs here in the city to encourage me to keep writing. J
