Welcome to 2002--and a completely new "look" for the Cindy (Cynthianna) Appel monthly newsletter. I've decided to make the newsletter more "interactive" between you, the recipient and me, the writer/editor. Here goes the very first "Question and Answer"
column for January 2002 where I attempt answer all your "burning" questions about life, the universe, and everything--or at least about me!

Q: Who are you--and why are you sending me this e-newsletter in the first place?

A: Who am I? Who AM I? Who are any of us for that matter... But, honestly, I'm a published romance novelist/inspirational essayist/freelance article writer/mom/wife currently living in the St. Louis area. You can read more about me at my web site on my

.Q: Are you doing any book signings or making any appearances in my area?

A: I guess that all depends on where you live! Currently, I'm planning to attend "Duel on the Delta" March 15-16 in Memphis, TN. I'll also be speaking at the "Give Your Craft the Business" multi-genre writer's workshop in St. Louis that was cancelled in September
and has been tentatively rescheduled for mid-February. More info on that in next month's newsletter.

Q: Who's your favorite actor/hunk currently (possibly acting as an inspiration for your next novel)?

A: This is a toughie--there are so many men and so little time! I still like Mel Gibson a lot, but I have to admit I have enjoyed watching Robert Patrick (Agent
Dogget) on the "X-Files" recently. I liked that big, fuzzy blue "Scully" from "Monsters Inc." from the moment he came on the screen, too...

Q: Are you still writing a column? If so, where can I find it online?

Q: What's your favorite color?

A: Blue. All shades of it--from pale Columbia Blue to dark Midnight Navy Blue and everything in between. Now you know why I'm so fond of blue jeans!
