GOOD NEWS:

First, I must announce that my latest book, "Jump Start Your Writing Career With Electronic Publishers" is an EPPIE 2002 Finalist in the NON-FICTION (SELF-HELP) category. YAHOO!!! I am very happy. Some of you may know that my "The Administrator" won the Anthology category in 2000, and to have another one final this year is just like having two dreams come true.

To Betty Kasischke, Linda Slater, and Patricia White, the coordinators of the EPPIE contest, and to all the judges, and all the others who help to make this such an extraordinary event, I say, "THANK YOU!" The work involved with this contest is tremendous and everyone has done a tremendous job.

EPIC ANNOUNCES FINALISTS FOR THIRD ANNUAL EPPIE AWARDS

EPIC, the Electronically Published Internet Connection, is proud to announce the finalists for
the third annual EPPIE awards, which recognize the very best books originally published in
electronic format each year.

The entries are judged by EPIC members, all of whom are published authors, and presented
in twenty different categories. EPIC also presents the Quasar to recognize the finest in cover
art, and the Florence Moyer Service Award to honor an individual, nominated and voted on
by the membership, for exemplary service to the organization.

The awards will be presented on March 16 at a gala banquet that concludes EPICon 2002 in
Seattle, Washington. For more information on the conference, as well as a list of all prior
