This is the time of year for contests galore. Unfortunately I have to suspend my monthly contests while I'm in Africa. I thought it would be easy to send copies of my books (or books of other authors from my publishers) but it's almost impossible for me to download and send again. So I'll content myself with pointing you in the direction of other contests.
Try the web page of Bookswelove Here's the link to the page: http://www.bookswelove.net/happyholidays.html It will be going live in November and you can win books from a number of authors. Take time to look at Romanceswelove; Horrorwelove etc. Yes, each genre has its own page. Lots of good reading.

********* LaVonne Boruk: Gone in Flames
Rex Thornhill lost his entire family at the age of 10. Now he stands to lose his foster family and the woman he loves. Available at www.trebleheartbooks.com Read an excerpt at http://members.tripod.com/~lavonneboruk/boruk/html A paragraph from the book: Feeling disappointed, I walked slowly back down the road with my eyes focused on the rambling century-old whitewashed wood-frame house that Daddy often called a tinderbox. A stiff breeze had carried the dark cloud farther away and only the red and yellow of the leaping flames caught my eyes. A spark lit on my bare arm. It seared my flesh. I brushed it off quickly, and then looked back at the house just in time to see a section of the roof crumble. ********** A Chance Meeting: LaVonne Boruk Kathryn has lost the only man she will ever love, so she goes to sea vowing to forget about him. But fate steps in to rearrange her plans. Coming August 2003 from www.trebleheartbooks.com Read more at http://members.tripod.com/~lavonneboruk/boruk.html A paragraph from the book "Are you sure you don't want me to help you with that, Ma'am?" The taxi driver asked, slamming the car's trunk closed. "No, thanks, I've been doing this for years," Kathryn said, cheerily, stuffing some bills in the driver's hand. She hoisted the seabag on her shoulder, then walked up the gangplank pushing her way past embarking passengers, without really noticing them. She was in a hurry to get a cup of coffee before going to the bridge. Hoping the navigator and second mate, Rebecca Corgan, was already aboard, she hurried past the purser and security with nothing more than a good morning nod. Then hearing the purser say something she stopped dead in her tracks. Turning to look back where the last few passengers were boarding, she almost bumped into Rebecca, following close behind her. "Did you hear that name?"
******** ESCAPE TO FREEDOM: LaVonne Boruk Tato Stanislaus fears for his family's safety and is determined to go to America where they will have a good life. But his wife, Adrianne and son Mikhail do not want to leave everything and everyone they know to go to a strange land. Coming January 2004 from www.whiskeycreekpress.net Read more here: http://members.tripod.com/~lavonneboruk/boruk.html Paragraph from book: Tato tamped the last bit of soil over the grave and laid the shovel aside. Tears welled up in his eyes as he busied himself erecting a small wooden board on which he had carefully written in his own hand Franz Stanislaus 1891-1905, beloved son of Tato and Adrianne. He straightened up to his full six feet height, and glanced around at the other four graves that testified to the loss of one child per year. *********** Thank you for allowing me time in your busy lives once again.
