Where I live we are still waiting for Spring, even though it is now May, I am waking up to temperatures in the low 30s with highs that get into the 50s. When it does manage to get a little warmer, the wind chill reminds us that it really isn't!

My trip up North is eminent but I had to drastically change my plans and so won't be going to IMATA after all. My energy levels plummeted last week and it is a bit discouraging. But my sister reports the same issue so I am hoping it is just a little dip before we both finish recovering.

We've talked about doing a book together so perhaps we will explore this a little more in person. The medical community insists that it isn't hereditary - - but it seems odd we would face similar issues.

My beta animal career coaching course is winding down. I
am going to be making some changes to it and then opening it up again to participants in June or July. Part of my planning was to get them ready to go job hunting before the seasonal hiring in summer - - so they should be on the market looking this month!

In the meantime, I've been hiking the creek and watching the trout make their way up to spawn. It is fast evaporating but I take great pleasure in being out in the forest and watching them gradually make their way up.

It is also joyful to see so many people taking their
lunch hours to drive over and sit next to the creek near the public access bridge to watch them as well.

One of the reasons I still live in this small mountain town is because of the proximity to wildlife and the rustic setting where I wake up to the birds and listen to the waterfowl and fish at night.

Now if you read the blog, you might have discovered my
attempts to amuse myself while also alerting people to the fact that the PLG (Petite Lap Giraffe) of Direct TV fame is not real. I did a whole post on how to prepare for one since over 600,000 people are on the waiting list!

Finally, if you want a chance to win an ecopy of my book, "What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality" I am having a contest over on my Facebook community. I am
looking for names for daily themes on the Ark Animals blog.

To give you an idea, I want to begin expanding the topics again but will mainly focus on animal behavior, animal careers, animal training with pet parenting, new products, news, and fun items. So I am looking for clever names for each day of the week.
