Wow, fall is upon us. Once again the year is flying by - - and I’ve escaped the mountains to spend time in San Diego Country.

I am swimming every day to build up my strength and endurance after my hospital emergency adventure and subsequent recovery period.

The change is good and I am getting better and stronger every day but it has been really warm where I am staying.

Triple digits in the shade are a stark contrast to the weather in the mountains which is about 20 degree cooler where I live.

Needless to say, I am missing those cool and crisp nights.

Meanwhile, the fires in southern California impacted a lot of pet owners and are just another reminder that if you have not downloaded the Animal Disaster Guide yet—do so now.

2. Discussion for the Month
===============================================
Many of you are aware of my plans to launch the Pet Parenting School and part of that pre - launch process includes finalizing the curriculum and creating support products.

One of those products is “Flea Control Secrets” an ebook
discussing the issues surrounding the severe reactions and deaths of pets from flea treatment products and how to keep your home and pets flea free.

If you are not aware of the flea product issue, the update from the Environmental Protection Agency is supposed to be released in October of 2009.

There are some products that have caused more reactions in pets than others but counterfeit flea control products are also suspected.

In addition, there is a sneak peak video right on the index page so you can see some of what is in the ebook.

This project was a tough one to get on the market. In addition to those challenges I faced, my team of professionals also had some issues.

Ultimately it took almost two months longer to
get this product in final format than originally planned.

The good news is that it not only tackles the issues and the information removed from the Internet (EPA removed the initial warning list posted on the agency’s website) but it also gets into:

- natural flea control methods,
- the strategies you need to know to get rid of fleas,
- home remedies for getting rid of fleas, and
- obsolete methods you should avoid using.

Plus I’ve run down the chemical methods that are the least toxic to use in your household and on your pets.

Obviously it is always better to avoid chemical methods if you can but using less toxic safer methods is easier when you have a resource that helps you to sort through the mess.
