Just wanted to announce that Gen Beck of Ft. Worth Texas was the winner in the US Grant mystery contest. She will be receiving a copy of The Ambush of My Name, Magnolias and Mayhem (which features a US Grant short story and is up for an Anthony award), a mug and a bottle of whiskey -- the better to read about our 18th president with.

I hope to have an annoucement soon about a new collection of Craig Rice short stories. I'm really excited about this. It's the first collection of material by Rice in 38 years. The stories have appeared in pulps and digests, but never before in book form. Keep your eyes peeled for more details here.
