This holiday season is way too busy. I seem to find myself running in circles. I even have to schedule my next nervous breakdown! It was going to be January 2nd, but as I look at the calendar I realize it will have to be January 6th. Oh well, what's a girl to do?

I held my first official book signing this past Thursday at my local library. I did a short talk on the publishing business and how it works. I had a new writer in attendance as well as a published author, so I didn't have to do all the talking!

A tip to all the authors: Do a book signing in your local library. Speaking personally, my local library has done a fabulous job for me, once processing over 200 books for me in three days! None of us expected them to all come in at the same time, but there they were. The library staff took on the extra work with a lot of laughter. They have helped me research books I need, and found ancient texts for me through inter-library loans. So I give my librarians a huge Thank You. My next book will be dedicated to them.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. In the hustle and craziness of this season, sit for a few minutes and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Savour the precious moments with family and friends.
