The "Whenever Newsletter" containing the wit and wisdom of LDS author Susan Law Corpany is put out several times a year, but not on any set schedule. You will find the stories behind the stories, excerpts from works in progress, humorous insights, ideas for how to avoid doing housework. In other words--whatever and whenever. Newsletter Dated: 12/12/2006 9:57:50 AMSubject: New Meridian Article - In His Mother's Arms Just a little reminder that my Meridian column is running today. This one is a thirty-year history of my pompom nativity scene.
"A few days before Christmas, I proudly set the finished product out on my desk for my co-workers to admire. Among those present was my boss, Dale, who wasn’t one of my regular admirers. He looked it over, calculating the time that had been spent, the myriad hours I must have sat at the kitchen table gluing beards onto shepherds and sequins onto the robes of wise men. He comment said it all. 'Susan, I thought you had a boyfriend.' Obviously this was the work of a desperately lonely person."
