Here is the link to my latest column. There's a possibility that it may be inspiring and uplifting, or it may only serve as proof that I am certifiably insane, because it contains a conversation between me and one of my characters, who is about to take my book in a completely different direction. I feel better knowing that many other authors admit to similar experiences.

I have finally decided to become a blogger, as well. My blog is called "It's Noon and I'm Still in my Pajamas." Perhaps at some future time my posted picture will fit the title, but I left my favorite polar bear jammies in Utah, knowing we would be there for Christmas, and not needing them in sunny Hawaii. I will try to blog about the same time my columns come out so that I can minimize the need for sending out more of these newsletters than is actually necessary, since we all have way to much e-mail to wade through these days. All is well in Hawaii, except, of course, that the economy is tanking. Our son Shawn is engaged and is going to ring in the New Year by getting married in Logan on New Year's Eve, with festivities the night before, which is a good idea even if you aren't getting married on a holiday.

My nephew Randall is visiting here right now, and we have been snorkeling and sightseeing and getting acquainted on a whole new level. Take a niece or nephew to lunch today! For me, at least before I added the stepchildren to the mix, they were my other children and have all added so much to my life.
