In this insane world, sanity can come at a premium. There are exotic places you can go, professionals you can visit, and prescriptions for everything. Sometimes the cure for the blues or bug-a-boos, is right at your fingertips. Reach out and touch somebody's handiwork; a poem, a blog, or a story. Look outside yourself.
Writing has been my catharsis. While no expert on therapy or psychology, maybe I know just enough to get off the ground. I can lend my writing skills and quirky personality to helping folks crack a smile. This online newsletter can try to do just that. Hang on! Here we go!

Here is a photo of a Moonflower we spied along the river over the weekend. There at the turnaround where anybody backing up their boat could run this exotic flower over, I noticed it. This bloom was big as a dove. There was much more to see at the river's edge. As I walked along the path I felt like Shawnee Indians could have run that way with Simon Girty behind them barking orders. Daniel Boone and his party may have come this way searching for Jemima and her friends the Calloway girls. The gentle spot is down Drowning Creek Road, below Bybee Pottery, a business founded in 1809.I am lucky to have family living in such a Camelot. I want to go back and check on the Moonflower.
