Favorites and Fun Questions

What is the one thing you would love to learn how to do, but probably won’t have the nerve to?



Skydiving. I have indoor parachuted when I was in TN and I loved it. You dress up in all the garb and then lie down on a wind tunnel that propels you up in the air and you can do tricks. It's only about fifteen feet vs. as high as you are in a plane. It was a great time. I loved it and would do it again, but I don't think I'll try skydiving from the plane.

Hi, Teresa and welcome. I am so glad you could join us here at

RomanceJunkies. To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects?



Hello. I'm so glad to do this interview with you. Yes, I can tell you a little about the projects I'm currently working on... RAGING DIAMOND WATERS is a fictionalized account of the flood of 2004 in Pittsburgh PA....spicy, suspenseful and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. INVITATION TO GETAWAY is a scary vacation mystery with spicy scenes and a plot you won't figure out until the end. Then there is MARKED BY MAGIC, heavy in romance, witchcraft, murder and suspense. All to be released in 2005 as ebooks and then later in print.



I also have five other novels being considered by publishers right now. Hopefully, they too will be published. I may have another book signed and should know soon...and I may have a part in a comedy show...will know for sure in a few days.Of course, there are numerous other projects happening, too.



What is your typical writing day like?



My days are anything but typical...It's always different. Which leads to some exciting stories to write about.



Do you always write in the same spot all the time, or do you roam from room to room, area to area as the mood strikes?



I write wherever I can. Long hand-I write anywhere, that is if I have the opportunity...there were times I wrote outside by the light of the moon, not always, but once in a while. So I write anywhere.



A new writer comes up to you and says: Help me! Help me! I want to be published! What will you tell them?



Enjoy the process. The idea, the thoughts you have and the story you create and the tale you weave...that's what it's all about. It's a lot of work-so enjoy it.



Being in the movies is pretty exciting. How did you become involved in this? Which one was your favorite?



The answer to how I got involved in the movies goes way back...I worked in a movie house long ago and developed such a love for them, then I became an extra in movies. Of the eight that I've been in, all of the experiences were exciting, but the one I loved the most was "Doing Therapy"...in that one I had the opportunity to play a reporter. I love the movie "Up Close and Personal" with Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer. It's clearly one of my favorite movies. It's all about news reporters. The role I played in "Doing Therapy" was a news reporter interviewing the star of the movie. I always wanted to step into that role. It was great...I was holding that microphone and getting right in there to get my information. It felt so natural. The release of the movie is sometime in early 2005 with Bello productions.



Wow! I understand you’ve been to every state in the Continental US! That is one of my goals (I have been to about half of them so far…) What is your criteria for saying you’ve been there? Which state surprised you most? Which state would you like to explore more?



I hope you too get to enjoy reaching your goal of seeing all the Continental US...I usually buy a small momento or pin from each state that I've been to and have the memories and settings clearly in my mind so I may use them in my writing. Our country is so beautiful and I loved all the states. Each one has its own special beauty. A few of the best, Newport, RI, Mt. Rushmore, SD, Grand Canyon, AZ, and the one trip I would love to do again is traveling by car all along the coast of Florida, down the eastern coast, then out to Key West, then back up along the Gulf Coast of Florida. I stopped and enjoyed as many beaches as time allowed. It was the best. I love the beaches. I was there before the devastating hurricanes hit Florida this year. I would love to do that again.



What qualities and traits make up the “perfect” hero?



The "perfect" hero is classy, handsome, smart, devonair, completely attentive to his one and only love of his life, kind-hearted, brave. He treats his lady special, has grace, manners and is always true.



Which is more romantic and why: chocolate-dipped strawberries or cavier?



Chocolate dipped strawberries of course....cavier makes the corner of my mouth quiver, strangely and that's not romantic. I just will never like the taste. I do love strawberries dipped in chocolate and it makes me lick my lips sexily because it’s sooooo tantalizing.



How do you describe Teresa (Tracey) Stanisha? How do Teresa (Tracey) Stanisha’s family and friends describe her?



Incredibly interesting with lots of different talents. I believe they would say the same.



MORE FUN…



October and Halloween…they are synonymous! Did you dress up this year? What was the best costume you ever donned?



Yes, of course, I dress for Halloween each and every year. Halloween is the only time we adults dress in costume...I was a Spanish Flamenco dancer this year. My outfit consisted of an extravagant red dress with roses down the back, a fancy fan and feathers in my long dark wig...I make my costumes and they cost around $3 for supplies.



Once I was Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ, then I was Cher one year,

Legally Blonde another and a Butterfly, A Pink Princess and, of course, the funniest was Dolly Parton. Complete with a long blonde wig and a chest way out to there. I won prizes for that costume. It was so funny.



Are you right-handed or left-handed? Ever tried to write with the opposite hand?



Right-handed. Yes, I have tried, but it doesn't look as good with the left hand.



Who rakes the leaves in the Stanisha yard? Ever just feel like grabbing a handful and throwing them up in air like when you were a child?



Of course I've been known to jump right on in those piles of leaves. Not this year. The leave blower machine is so easy to use they were all gone in a short afternoon.



Okay, Pittsburgh Steelers fan! They are off to a great start! Are they gonna go all the way? Let’s say they do…who should they meet up with in the Super Bowl? Will you be able to go to any home games this year?



Oh, the Steelers are awesome this year. The Steelers will win the Super Bowl. Way to go Steelers. I would love to see them play the Dallas Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles in the championship.



And lastly, no interview of a writer would be complete without this question: what is your favorite comfort food?



Filet Mignon just makes me soooo happy. On nights when I can't have that...I usually find great comfort in none other than potato chips. They are so yummy. I do love a lot of foods, so this was so hard to choose.
