With the weathermen finally coming out of the deepfreeze, and the stock market surviving a full week on the plus side, it’s time to celebrate the coming of spring. Yippee. I love the weather when it’s not too cold and not too hot.

Now I can take time to decide on my next step in the publishing business. Should I self-publish “Memoirs of a Weatherman” or try to get someone to publish it for me?

I have one agent who says she can get it published. All I need to do is finish my second one-hundred rewrites. On the other hand, I’ve found several companies willing to do the publishing for me. All they want is for me to complete the first fifty rewrites and dump it on the market.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I promise that I won’t blame you if your suggestions don’t pan out – as long as you give me the option of ignoring whatever you recommend.

I’m good at accepting as well as ignoring suggestions. That way, I have only myself to blame if things go wrong.

Question number two is “Does anyone have any suggestions on how to increase my readership. I don’t have much of a following and I’d like to get the word out that I am writing regularly again.

I’ll make this newsletter short so that I don’t become a time sponge. Writers never have enough time to complete everything that they would like to.

My 500 imaginary readers and I are looking forward to receiving your answers. Meanwhile, I’ll get back to my memoirs and see what I can accomplish with what I consider to be the best book ever written. If that claim doesn’t ring true, make it “The best book I’ve ever written.”
