Happy Hello Dear Readers!

After a short 2 - day hot spell, we are now having rain. Our Red Maple turned red way ahead of time a week or so ago. Must be it didn’t get enough water during the terribly hot summer. The red leaves are hanging on though.

Each day finds me in my Castle in the treetops writing, writing, writing. The topic, suicide warfare, gives me a sea - tossed voyage since it continues, unfortunately, to be very much in the news.

Women in Combat received an excellent review from School Library Journal. In addition for praise of the book’s organization, Eldon Younce, Anthony Public Library, Kansas, wrote:

"The thoroughness of this work, and the impressive list of references concluding each chapter, indicates the enormous amount of research that went into it. ... Researchers will appreciate the lengthy annotated list of print and non - print resources, definitive glossary, and extensive index.
