Happy Hello Dear Readers!

Summer days find me enjoying our flower garden while sitting on the screened-in back porch watching the birds. My part in the garden is to fertilize and prune flowers, a task I enjoy. The rains we have gotten the past 2-3 days have perked the flowers mightily.

Writing affiliated with books is often an active part of my author life between books. While I await the proof pages for my latest book, _Women Political Leaders in Africa_, I find this block of time in step with the usual. You may recall from an earlier Newsletter that I had filled this time while waiting for _Female Suicide Bombers_ to be published with the fun task of reading a friend's manuscript for a children's novel. Actually, the novel is a Trilogy and the first book has now been published. You may view the book at http://www.lulu.com/content/798643. The project was a little different reading than I was used to, but it was good for me and I enjoyed it immensely; and now, I am writing a review of this book. When I complete it, I’ll let you know, so that you can go to this same link to read it.

I am also helping a local resident with his memoirs. His writing is wonderfully colorful and I enjoy giving him a sense of direction.

Promotional work on my father’s book continues, and of course, doing anything connected with my father’s life is an uplifting experience. I’ve gotten it accepted in four genealogical libraries including Florida and California.

And lastly, I've written a couple new poems on AuthorsDen should you wish to read.
