Just let me sleep Too quiet this night So solemn the drift Lifting my head every few minutes While the clock changes hours To a life time When my pillow wasn’t beaten Into restless shapes Leaving pictures on my face To prove I never sleep That soundly Unless exhausted I forget You ever existed (Lynette Bat-Abba, May 2009)
