Class these days is one endless bore,

I don’t go there to study anymore,

There’s a new reason why I walk through that door,

Yep, she’s the reason I go to school for!

The lecturer is talking, I don’t know about what,

Yes my pen is moving, but its one endless dot,

I’m looking at her, behind the ear where there is a spot,

Of course I’m staring, I hope I’m not caught.

I haven’t said a word to her this whole week,

Its not that I’m shy at all, or meek,

I just know it will end if she and I speak,

So I’d rather sit and stare rather than take the risk.

In between classes she talks to her friends,

I watch her mouth move and note all her trends,

Sometimes she catches me and I imagine there’s a signal she sends,

But I always forget about it when the day ends.

Then one day she walked across the floor,

And told me something that hit me in the core,

It was so ridiculous, it made me drop my jaw,

She said, y’know you’re the reason I go to school for!’
