Tomorrow when the sun comes up
My shine will pale
My doors are closed
I've learned the value of passion
It holds the moans of a silent glow

The hard part of loving
The part that fails
The mission of focus that got out of hand
In growing together
Now parted
No value in the vagueness of now
I don't understand

Give me a reason and calm my desires
The ones that are flickering
Pleading for more
For the one who danced with me embraced me
Then felt our love grow

My knees are weaker
Gone are the plans
You know the ones of floating through skies
Smelling the flowers and walking the paths
Hand in hand humming
No reasoning denied

Future and laughter
The comfort and bliss
The fighting that ends in a tenderness kiss
The clutch for a moment
Moonlight all around
The smile so electric
With the shine that I'll miss

My heart is like his
With pride entrapped
Sheltered from love
My what a grind!
Broken down guesses with missives amiss
Barely hearts beat when missing it's shine.

Intense write that opens your heart to the reader and shares your thoughts on love and life without really trying. Leaves it open for discussion as to are you really that sad or is it just a passing moments weakness which it appears to be. The images conjured are of a women who has lived a full life and still has so much more ahead but just a little tired at the moment.

I concur with Rage below completely Susan
He always seems to have the most observant and astute answer !
This life is a fast learning curve, and if we treat day and experience with total honesty and awareness, then there is no room for pain or dissapointment.
We must be true to ourselves, and those we love, to lead a fulfilling and rewarding existence

Souls open to learn from where they are, from what they experience and see, will learn. The gentle way or hard way, either way they'll get what they asked for. Once the request is submitted, there is no way back. Gradually it will dawn on them that from failure or success meaningful things come that all add to the scope of their awareness. This physical realm is the plane of pain and open minded souls are destined to receive their share. But even while still looking for reasons that caused events to take place, there is no bitterness or lament over instants of pain. While awareness grows and the contours of things greater than life begin to loom beyond the horizon that limits the sight of many, a tranquil and overwhelming feeling floods their minds. Universal standards come in measures beyond measure. This life with all its pain and joy is a learning track that we must accept and cherish regardless of the way it is presented to us. With such a frame of mind we will be able to continue through space and time in ways destined for our souls to travel.

Dear Susan
This is powerful! ...
"...I've learned the value of passion
It holds the moans of a silent glow..."
So true! The greatest passion is Being in the moment, fully present, engaged, awake to whatever it brings.. Riding those waves with calm equipoise (if possible!! :-)
With love & friendship sister! xox :-)

Haven't we all learned the value of passion! It is NOT easy come, easy go. Emotion figures into it all somewhere. Moonlight all around makes it better, Susan. Very emotional write.
