in the nuance of a dejavu
just where beginning starts
when familiar sorts through mystery
for forlorned and lonely hearts
a voice chokes up with every tinge
then teardrops start to form
as familiar love wakens new
then magnifies the norm
this mystery...the dejavu
as old in new emerges
just as the new forsakes it all
with deadend loveless searches.
Maybe the dejavu is that one moment when the feelings and happenings of two different times overlap just long enough to remind us what their difference is and what it means to us now. As allways great writing. Pierre.
Only you would think a thought like this Dixie Bud.
The subtle shades of meaning and feeling of an unexpected memory, in my humble opinion, is the mind, and eyes, of an artist who takes nothing for granted, and knows that there is something still to be gleaned from all moments of her life, past and present.
Susan as this poem reflects the image, feelings and desires of love's dejavu I sit rereading and wondering if we have not passed each other or walked side by side in another parrallel universe or plane. Your heart is so open and loving and your passion unequaled that I often feel as if we were in somehow lovers of the past. This write only amlified those feelings. Well done sweet lady.

My, my, my, how to I top Kate's comments? I shan't (love that word) try. Wiithin the structure of these twelve lines are deep and philosophical meaning. You speak to all of our "old" loves and the sounds and words and body movements which carry us back there, if only mentally, if only temporarily. This, my dear, is one of your best, and THAT is saying a lot.
This is totally astounding and you have expressed a whole book's worth of emotional and psychological layering into one deftly-crafted and highly compacted, power-filled write. I salute you, Susan. Your work is ALWAYS so tight and amazingly condensed as to give the word "Poetry" it's fully-comprehensive meaning. Almost, I would say, an inevitable utterance here: perfect tone, expression and concept. Pure unadulterated inspiration... wrought from the chamber of a heartbroken pen. ADORE the lines: "then teardrops start to form as familiar love wakens new then magnifies the norm"; you KNOW this stuff. Hope-lorn but so sassy and strong that undoubtedly it will know how to resurface on the other side of the ferris wheel. A keeper, thank you. Kate xx
