will ever leave?

Wonderin’ if I will ever recall what it used to feel like
to freely breathe?

Wonderin’ if anyone really cares about
the countless tales of my sorrow?

Just wonderin’ if I really believe that there is
A wish?
A hope?
A day after tomorrow?

Wonderin’ if I’ll ever run out
of tears to cry?

Wonderin’ if my phantom dreams
will take winged flight
through invisibly painted skies?

Wonderin’ if the world as I know
it will drink in the words what I yearn to tell?

Just wonderin’ when all these tears of wonder
will fill the bucket of my empty well?
