strolled right up in here with us just a-mixin' in our throng; don't they know they can't relate to how WE sing OUR songs? why they gotta pat their feet and head-bob to and fro. . . we come to worship civilized (as if they didn't know!) sure, we believe in Jesus even though he was a Jew, but everyone knows God is white with eyes of baby blue, those people want to feel secure, this pattern's nothin' new. . . so we separate to keep the peace on Sundays, why don't you? © 2004 by cynth'ya lewis reed
Walk Among Words
created in His image.. and to me, that means He looks like every single one of us... He isn't about looks, and it isn't about
images or pictures. It's about the spirit within. I'm finding myself very drawn to your poetry, now that we've crossed paths..
You're very inspiring! katy xox.
No one knows that God is white with eyes of baby blue for we haven't faced Him yet. Someday we will and we will be judged for our pride and prejudices. I like the picture and the message and wish this world was different. Thank you for your comments on my poem.
Love and peace,

powerful write, but i tend to disagree with the statement "God is white with eyes of baby blue." if i remember right, Jesus has nappy hair, according to the Bible. :)
i love black gospel music, my spirit soars when i hear it. keep on singing! be proud! wish we whites weren't so inhibited.
and i love the pic :)
(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)
