DINNER AND A DANCE
They'd been dating for nearly a month
though they'd never been face to face.
They'd met on the internet
in an unline meeting place
They traveled in different circles,
their paths might never have crossed.
And, if that had never happened,
it would have been a catastrophic loss.
She'd sent him a wink.
He was immediately taken.
But, he'd been alone so long,
his confidence had been shaken.
They agreed to meet for ice cream.
He asked if she'd go for a drive.
He loved that she smiled with her eyes
and made him feel so alive.
She came to meet his family
at a birthday celebration.
She didn't know a soul,
but she enjoyed the conversation.
She asked if he'd come to dinner,
his response was to ask what time,
she suggested maybe around 6ish,
he said he'd bring the wine.
This wasn't their first rodeo,
they'd both been here before,
but he wondered what to expect
after she closed the door.
A couple glasses of wine?
Dinner by candle light?
And, after they were finished,
would she ask him to spend the night?
Of course, he would agree,
then he'd sneak a little blue pill.
He wasn't sure he'd need it.
but he wanted her to get her fill.
The pill only takes an hour,
then he'd be ready and willing to go.
So, for an hour they'd watch TV,
not much caring about the show.
He'd kiss her a couple times,
leave it up to her to choose,
then he'd nibble on her nips
and she'd turn off the news.
It doesn't sound very romantic,
but they'd both be feeling blessed.
They'd now be off the Market
and neither would be feeling stressed.
Now and then they'd have those nights,
other times they'd go to the Moose.
They'd have a couple drinks,
then dance and begin to cut loose.
This has been going on now,
for a little over a year.
Seems they've both been wanting
to keep the other near.
They do every thing together,
yet still they live apart.
Some day that may change,
but for now, they've made a start.
They are both so very thankful
for the wonders of the internet.
computer dating brought them toghether,
and neither would ever forget.
